The first 10 minutes of this quick look were pure gold Dan, don't let anyone tell you otherwise.

I was impressed by Dan's systems run down. There is a lot to this game. It was pretty entertaining.

I loved this Quick Look. Maybe I should get a 3DS, or steal my nieces, since she lost the charger two years ago!

Not finished the video yet, still watching the first race, but I want to point out, going into the level 3 comfort zone makes it harder to improve your horse's mood, so when your horse is already kind of grumpy, it's not a very good idea. Sometimes, it's more important to maintain your current status than to push ahead and risk putting yourself in a worse-off position.

Also, don't rub the giddiap button if your horse is in a bad mood, especially if you have less than 50 unity points, because you probably won't go over the 100 point limit by the next turn and there's a chance you could improve your horse's mood and collect more energy as a result.

For the record, I'm not mad that Dan is doing it wrong, because it just illustrates that this game really is as complicated as he says it is.

I totally support the mechanics reading bit, it was gold Dan; especially with Drew's exasperated exclamation chime-ins.

Can't wait to pick this up.

Great quicklook. Seeing both all the systems that are in place and then seeing the relative ease of gameplay, it gives a good picture of the game.

Nice to see a horse riding game that doesn't focus on hammering a speed up button, but instead focus on the strategy.

I've honestly never understood how solitaire works. I know everyone has played the Windows game, but I just never did. Always looked arcane and impenetrable to me. I now have an entry-level understanding of how it works.

For someone who loves racing, amazingly the first 9 minutes make complete sense to me. I love this game already. Oh wait, after that it's solitaire. Uh?

EDIT: I LOVE HORSES THIS IS RAD.

This is why I love this site so much. I would have never seen/heard of this game, yet their presentation of it shows that it has a surprising amount of complexity based off a solitaire-lite mechanic. I probably gonna pick this up sometime.

This game is way simpler than that list of confusion that Dan went through. The Eshop demo does plenty to well explain the mechanics (although Off-Course Horse can piss right off, I know what went wrong so stop talking to me as if I had no idea) and is really worth a try.

It's not really even worth calling solitaire, it's more of a match game that takes on the solitaire facade.

There's a training mode where you can just play solitaire, but if that's all you want, there are more economical ways of getting it.

Man people really do complain for anything huh. Dan isn't my favorite duder by far but that intro was funny and managed to illustrate how complex this solitaire game is. I thought they did a great job on that intro, kudos Dan and Drew!

This is a horse-racing solitaire game. Yes indeed.
