Keep in mind that there are 5 different leagues. Bronze < Silver < Gold < Platinum < Diamond. If you are placed in Gold, that is about average. If you are just getting stomped in Gold, don't worry about it too much. By dropping rank only means that you will face (hopefully) easier opponents.
This ranking system is why I am glad they only allow you to have one charater profile (no smurf accounts!).

Roaches have an upgrade that allows them to move while burrowed. However, if you've blocked off your ramp then they won't be able to enter your base, burrowed or not.
they might have been doom-dropped from an overlord. If you are really confused with how they did this, you can always just watch the replay.

This is the reason why I look here first before anywhere else on the internet.
Take it easy on the killstreaks (I like the variety, but they promote way too much camping and they are overpowered)
Have a no killstreak TDM game type
Better maps (derail, wasteland, underpass, estate all suck)
Fix FFA spawning
Make blast shield not gimp the player in anyway (loss of radar and a little vision in MW2)
get rid of one man army
Maybe add a ranked playlist (somewhat like Halo 3?)
GET RID OF THE NUKE (again... promotes camping and cheap use of killstreaks. If you can get a 25killstreak w/o nukes, then you should be winning anyway)
Things to not Change:
Don't change the impact the guns have (when i shoot someone, it feels like I am actually killing them. I can't say the same for Battlefield)
Don't remove killstreaks entirely (what is more fun than being rewarded for playing well?)
Don't change shotguns (except akimbo)
Don't make it have vehicles (that what Battlefield is for, if I wanted vehicles I would play that.)
Don't make it super-sim-ish (I don't care if I can jump in the air and still be able to headshot you, I don't care that I can shoot a Barret .50cal standing up and still not kill you. I don't care that I can get shot in the head and still knife you. The craziness that results from this is too much fun.)
I've spent a long time thinking about this. For how much I hate MW2, I still play it constantly and still manage to have a great time with it. I can only hope that if Black Ops fixes these problems, it could be amazing.
