"Gamin' On Ya" is just packed full of references.That one's gonna take a few listens I think. Please let me know if I missed something. Having a hard time recognizing/remembering where the sound effects are from. Towards the end it reminds me of Mario Kart?

Wow! Thanks everyone. I'll update the list (and listen to the songs!)

@fisk0: International releases should be fine, at least for now.

The only problem I see with that is if the lyrics are in a language I don't understand and as such won't be able to add them properly, like for example, I might be able to hear "Mega Man" in a French song, but I wouldn't know if they're talking about the character or the game. I also wouldn't be able to pick up on more vague/obscure references like in "Human Video Game" where Will Smith says "My girl" and "Ape" in reference to Donkey Kong & Pauline. I also wouldn't know if Mega Man is called something else in France, you know?

When/if that happens I'll figure something out. Could maybe make a note like "(Lyrics in German)" or something.

Right now? If they rap about games, it goes on the list. I don't think curating genres or sub-genres makes sense, at least for now. Heck, I'd say even if the song is an 80's pop song, but there's a random rap verse and in that rap verse they rap about Contra, it goes on the list.

If the whole gimmick of an artist is to rap about games however, it might just be better to add them as a quick note in the list info, though. I'm thinking about doing that for some of the more reference-heavy songs, too, to keep the list a bit more manageable, but we'll see.

Do you have any example songs/artists?
