I try not to spend too much during sales (Steam is dangerous, man), but I did nab Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen for about ten bucks and Dishonoured 2 for $35. Haven't started Dishonoured yet but BOY Dragon's Dogma is real good.
Any SMG with gunrunner is fantastic, been mostly using the CAR since I started playing. Beside that, I roll with either stim or phase, and the two longer range titans (Tone and Northstar) depending on the map.
I have mixed feelings on grind...on one hand it can feel like a cheap way to extend a game's life; I do like the concept of grind as a way to adjust a game's difficulty, though. That aside, a focus specifically on the presentation of the grind, how Forza and Destiny differ in showing rewards and progress, seems pretty solid. Interesting read!
Ultima is a game I've heard referenced at least four times in my life, yet my clearest, most specific definition of it is "super early Western RPG." I suppose I should probably remedy that at some point...any recommendations for which game (gonna guess Ultima 4) and/or version?
Just Cause 2. Never heard of the series until half my friends list was playing it...what I intended to be a quick hour to see what the game was all about turned into weeks playing on-and-off with my brother in that cordoned off desert area- buying it was kinda inevitable after that.
It's been quite a while (Also played with starting axe in mind) , but I succeeded more when relying on aggressive positioning- Gascoigne is wicked fast, more so in beast form, and can easily punish ranged builds and habitual "retreaters" that constantly move away from enemies. If you're gonna use ranged attacks or just be generally backing away from him, make sure to know the layout of tombstones well; otherwise, see if dodging into and around him to exploit the AI isn't more effective?
