I can't wait for the Witcher doc. The panel he hosted at pax was a trip, and showed that Danny can still command and interview/panel style show in an entertaining fashion.
you sweet summer child. future generations will probably have a dying planet as well as massive inequality to deal with, so of course they'll look back with scorn. also slavery wasn't "banned" by a collective sense of shame, it's dismantling was often driven by economic motives in parallel, with (imo subordinate) abolitionist movements. French abolitionists did not end slavery in France, the Haitians' rugged war for freedom, with some help from the Jacobins, as well as several European coalitions (that also contained pro-slavery crowns), did. Really, if you look hard enough, you could probably find heinous shit from every generation, in America or otherwise. always trying to be better. we are incredibly fortunate to live in times that could be convincingly described as "the best" in America (we might currently be in a period of transition), but even just a cursory examination of the material costs of this standard of living reveals the devastating impact wrought on the planet through material exhaustion, waste, and human suffering, both within the States and without.
honestly I revert to pondering the Fermi Paradox when i'm at my worst, but people passionately wanting to change things for the better will always bring a smile to my face.
vinny was really just throwing the shines around last episode. i was baffled by how dumb the bets he was taking were, but i guess a show's a show and the bets add something more to it.
Work your way out of it. Complete independence from anyone else is a formative thing, It will probably improve your work ethic and give you boosted self-esteem through a sense of accomplishment and the very fact that you can provide for yourself. I would recommend it if this arrangement is temporary and you have better employment prospects in the future. It is scary as hell, but I found it to be very rewarding.
