I bought this game after one of the many other times I had watched Vinny "play" it, because it was so goddamn delightful. Never could get into it though, because it was never as fun as watching him screw around with it. This series is ensuring that I never play the game ever again. My favorite thing on GB right now, maybe ever.
@dedbeet: And Brad is prone to hyperbole when it comes to this stuff (Far Cry 3 is neigh unplayable on console).
The granular obsession with framerates and resolution and "OMG what does Digital Foundry say?" is one of the worst things in gaming right now to me. I just. Don't. Fucking. Care.
A-MEN, man. I have lost count of the number of times a game was labeled "unplayable" due to its framerate issues on the console and...low-and-behold, there are a few hitches and it certainly isn't perfect, but I enjoy the game thoroughly and find that 99% of my time playing it, I don't even notice.
Am I missing the date range that this sale is running? I want to pull the trigger, but I get paid on Friday and it would be much more advantageous for me to wait until then.
Man, I am so excited to listen to this tomorrow. I know that it's unlikely, but I hope they prod a little as to what exactly went on with the Arkham debacle. I know there's a fair amount already out there about it, but I always find it super interesting when they do the whole "inside baseball" thing.
Good grief, this game is such garbage. It's like, the basic concept is cool, with the small-town teen life and weird super powers, but the execution, the writing, the way the characters are done, the sequence of events, terrible. Awful. They're definitely going for something with it, but I don't think they're pulling it off at all.
Phantasmagoria 2 had ghost monitors punching Ned Flanders in the face and the possessed rat and flesh puzzles. If they never finish that one, I want to find a copy and play it myself.
