This has GOT to be the year for Rockets, right? RIGHT!?? But, seriously, with the Warriors hobbled I'm feeling pretty good about our chances.

Rooting for a Rockets/Raptors finals.

@oursin_360: Very unlikely considering how the Rockets manhandled the Wolves in the regular season. That was with a healthy Jimmy Butler too. The Wolves take too many 2s and have sloppy defense. Its just a bad matchup for them. Most people are predicting a sweep and I can't really find any reason to disagree with them.

@tom_omb: The combat is over reliant on the counter mechanic, which makes sense, its an evolution of Zelda combat so they put it front and center. The real problem though is that Link's short arms and tiny sword, make it difficult to do anything except blitz enemies or wait to counter. There's no dipping in and out of melee range, no real point in knowing when to go for a vertical slash vs horizontal, all because Link's sword swings cover the range of a butter knife. Compare this to every Zelda game that came after WW, where Link's swords are as long as he is tall. That tells me Nintendo knows what I'm saying already.

That said the combat is the least important part of a Zelda game. Exploration and dungeons are far more important. Been meaning to try the HD edition to see if it fixes the issues I have with the game. One of these days...

I've driven over an hour to get to a best buy that had Yakuza 0 in stock on black friday weekend. Also driven over an hour to a walmart that had the Nintendo Switch in stock. Luckily both those drives ended in success and satisfaction.

There was some talk a while back about a map that was a single skyscraper. New concepts like that are what I want, not just the same old sprawl in a different biome.

Do you have any examples of reducing texture pop-in? I don't care about the load time improvement so much, but I really fucking hate texture pop-in. It seems like a thing the industry should have solved by now.

I voted for IV because that game isn't given a fair shake by the Saints Row crowd(i.e. people wanted old school, wacky fun times, arcadey GTA, which Saints Row is the spiritual successor to).

Also IV has my favorite driving model in a GTA. The cars felt weighty and you either developed some real skill or you turned your car into a crushed soda can. It was off-puttingly hard at first but it was satisfying as fuck when you finally got a handle(heh) on it.

@nicksmi56: I'm talking about the Goku that existed before One Piece and Naruto, aka Z not Super. I'm not surprised that they made Goku even more of an idiot in Super. You'll know that Shonen anime reached the pinnacle of its evolution when they make a protagonist who's functionally brain dead.

Skyrim is more recognizable because Bethesda was made up of like 5 people when they came up with the name in 1994. No marketing department, no branding worries. Thus the unholy nergasm "The Elder Scrolls". Not marketable, some PR person will tell you, but that's what they're stuck with.

Elder Scrolls VI is gonna have "The Elder Scrolls" in tiny ass font above whatever the real name of the game is gonna be.

Twilight Princess.

Like everyone I played Ocarina of Time and thought it was the best thing ever. I played Majora's Mask and thought it was fucking amazing.

Then I played Windwaker(Here's where I go on a little tangent). The graphics were gorgeous, but there were so many other problems. The dungeons are extremely unmemorable. To date I can't remember any except the first one and the stealth one. The combat is probably the worst in the 3d series.

"But Qrowdyy," you say, "What about the open world? Windwaker had the most expansive open world before BoTW."

Well, random misguided Giant Bomb member, to that I would say that 90% of that open world was a flat, featureless, blue plain. Sure they tried to spruce it up with assorted mini-games while you sailed, but those got boring faaaast. Maybe I just hate sailing in games? But, that's not true I loved AC: Black Flag to death. So, imo, Windwaker has the smallest open world in a 3d zelda, because all the empty space between points of interest(land) don't count(/endrant).

So after years of adventuring in the lands of off-beat Zeldas, one good, one dissapointing, playing Twilight Princess was like coming home. Basically a modernized Ocarina, there wasn't a speck of innovation in it. Probably the only unique thing about Twilight Princess is that it has a companion character that doesn't suck(Midna is the best). Also it's PS2 quality graphics were slightly off-putting even when it first came out. What it did have, in comparison to Windwaker, was better dungeons, better combat, better exploration. Gameplay over graphics all day.

It's a Zelda ass Zelda game and there are only two 3d Zelda's to choose from if that's what you want. If you've replayed OoT a few too many times, but are still looking for that same feeling, I heartily recommend Twilight Princess

Vegeta obviously. I prefer a little anti in my hero. I also prefer interesting over strongest or "goodest." Which is also why I prefer Batman to Superman.

Goku is the original idiot Shonen protagonist. To be fair though, all the major derivative works have really turned the idiocy up to 11 for their main characters(One Piece, Naruto). So Goku is also the smartest Shonen protagonist.
