I’m really struggling at the minute. I pretty much constantly have a pit in my stomach due to all of this Brexit nonsense. It’s getting harder and harder to focus on other things. I have been playing Pokemon let’s go, which has been a good distraction.
I played about 10 minutes of it before turning it off. I have a really bad cold so the game not even remotely telling me what to do really hurt my brain. I may get back to it at some point! Game pass has been great this month, even if it’s just to save me money.
Mutant year zero is probably a game I would have bought and after having played about half of it, I don’t think I like playing it very much but I do enjoy the story, just not enough to finish it. That the great thing about game pass though, I can just move on without any guilt.
I’ve never played a Smash game before and I’m wondering if Ultimate is worth a purchase if I’m mostly interested in the campaign and playing multiplayer with just my wife?
I’ve heard really good things about the singleplayer mode in this and I saw Ben’s tweet about recommending it just for the singleplayer but I wanted to get some other opinions from people who have played the game.
Also, does the game do a good job of explaining how the game works? And is Smash good for someone who doesn’t play fighting games at all?
My wife bought me a year of game pass on sale as an early Christmas present so I’ve been playing this and really enjoying. I’m playing on normal (the easiest difficulty) and it’s still not easy. Then again the only strategy game I’ve ever really finished is Xcom enemy unknown so I’m not very experienced with the genre.
@shivermetimbers: I’ve been playing the game on Xbox one X today and I’ve just put the game on eBay to hopefully get my money back. The game looks awful.
I’d seen people complaining about the visuals on Reddit but I just assumed people were blowing it out of proportion...they were not. It’s definitely one of the worst looking games I’ve seen this generation, it looks like a bad 360 game.
Visuals aside, I got to the end of the first real mission and couldn’t finish it because the game glitched and wouldn’t register that I had gotten the truck I was supposed to escort to its destination.
I didn’t play the game for very long before giving up but I would avoid this game.
I loved both Darksiders games so I will definitely be getting this. I don’t put much stock in reviews anyway and I’m just happy that the series is continuing after such a long break. I’ve asked my wife for it for Christmas and I’m excited to play it.
