Love the series, but agree with lawgamer and sudomelon a bit, tho. Fallout was a better game in its time than Fallout 3 was. Still excited and buying day one. Will probably play through it once initially, and once again after all DLC/mods come out. Just played the Fallout 3 DLC "The Point"...actually.
I disagree that a game interface is the best way to showcase your UX skills. I would consider solving a real world problem instead. Redesigning something employers might already be familiar with. If you want to do something "gamely" maybe do an Aug reality app that addresses a real world problem in an elegant way. It will be easier for prospective employers to understand than a complex game. Unless you REALLY want to work in the game dev hellscape.
Their musicianship was better with Crooked Rain (they could barely play their instruments in 1992 - each track took many takes), but I still like Slanted and Enchanted better. Emerging forms are the strongest forms.
Chrissy field (right at base of Golden Gate Bridge), golden gate park, SFMOMA, a burrito in the mission district, a ball game if Giants in town (bleachers!)
I won a Commodore 64 in a video game contest/promotion for KMEL 106fm radio station. The game... Attack of the Mutant Camels by a company called HesWare. That c64 changed my life. Plus I got to go to the radio station to pick it up.
And last year I beat Xcom:enemy within on ironman mode (1 save, constantly overwritten. No backsies.
