A breakdancing game where a character named D-Dog dances across the street to breakdance? This proves that no matter what kind of creature it is and what it's doing, anything named D-Dog will be the best.
Dan talking about koi fish reminds me of a discussion I had a few weeks back with my older brother about pigeons, which I think are the stupidest birds in existence. Now, I kinda wanna know Dan's opinion on pigeons because I'm sure that he and I would see eye-to-eye that pigeons are the worst birds in terms of intelligence.
I replayed SOTN not too long ago, and the area with the black birds is definitely one of the lowest points of the game just because there is so much to re-do if you mess up and die (which is kind of a punishment in itself since the game over/restart process does take a bit of time) between save points. At least the boss isn't too tough once you get the pattern down, so it's not totally bad.
Outside of Miitomo, I think this looks like a neat start for Nintendo's entrance into the mobile gaming platform. Although, part of me wishes they took a cue from Mario Maker and let you play using assets (and possibly gameplay mechanics if there's more to this game than tap-to-jump) from the older Mario games since I do prefer the look of the older games over NSMB.
Edit: Here's the video of the presentation via Kotaku. It looks like there will be some actual gameplay mechanics like blocks that reverse/stop Mario. I'm actually a little more excited for it now.
Jeff's reaction to those words sums up how I think everyone feels about Mario Party at this point thanks to Dan for pitching the idea of the Mario Party Party series.
As much as I don't care for the game, the DOTA segment is a thing of legends. Also, holy fuck thank god I've never played DOTA. I don't want to imagine how much of a broken, horrible person I'd be if I went all in like Dave, Brad, and Kessler (especially Kessler for spending nearly a grand on skins and whatever other shit the game offers).
Dan cut this himself and I think that's pretttttty awesome!
Papa Vinny is proud of his (other) little boy.
I can picture Dan showing Vinny the final version of this video, and after it ends, Vinny looks to Dan smiling with a single tear in his eye knowing that he taught his new son well in the art of video production.
All jokes aside, you did a great job, Dan! I hope the west coast crew will let you do more video editing if/when you guys do more videos like this.
Also, when I saw tipping gas station attendants, I assumed you meant physically tipping them over like cows.
The Dan and Jason Persona 4 drawings are amazing, @supernormalstep! I'm happy that the whole gang (including Patrick and Austin aka Team VICE) is finally done, but I'm wondering if you're planning on doing normal guests/friends of the site like John T. Drake or Dave Lang (I'll admit, I just want a Persona-fied Dave Lang because I can imagine that being one of the incredible things to ever appear on the internet) in the future.
This is the first time I've seen this in it's entirety and it was definitely worth it. Jimmy and Vinny/Andrew/Phillips/what is you name are a great team.
