@blastoise_m: I think this is one of the best comments I've seen from someone who is a fan of the game/series. I actually loved that they didn't try to do every single thing (especially since it's easy to find a full FAQ/walkthrough/Let's Play these days), but treated it as a blind first run and discovered (or in Dan's case, rediscovered) the good and bad parts of the game as they went along.
@shaunk: I've played a couple hours of it, and while it looks/sounds gorgeous, playing it single player is a pain in the ass since you can only control one character at a time and the AI controls the other characters, who can easily get stuck in the environment and fucked up by any enemies nearby. You can switch characters on the fly, but it's tough to balance killing enemies and making sure none of your guys die if you get into a room with more than two enemies. It definitely would work a lot better as a co-op game once everyone figures out how the game plays since it feels kinda like a Zelda game with way more RPG mechanics and slower combat.
That ending makes me think that once Dan moves to NYC, he and Bianca (his fiance) will adopt a dog, name it Waluigi, get it microchipped with the Waluigi amiibo chip, and to top it off, have it wear a little Waluigi hat.
Also, those Norm MacDonald shows Dan mentioned getting tickets to are this weekend, and assuming nothing has changed, I'm also going to one of those shows (I dunno which one) as an early birthday gift from my brother. Part of me hopes that I'll be able to meet Dan (and maybe even Norm) in person, but I have a really good feeling that it won't happen.
@sto_ln: Same here. I actually like that both the Bombcast and Beastcast record (mostly, since some are Jeff or Vinny doing solo ads that are straight advertisements) unique ads that are pretty funny. Also, it gives Jeff the opportunity to say "shaaaaave buttttterrrrr", and I think the world is a better place every time he says it.
I hope Shenmue 3 doesn't continue the epic saga of Ryo/Dio/Leo avenging his father's death, but ends up being a buddy road trip game starring Goro and Tom as they road trip across Japan's warehouse districts to sell hot dogs while being pursued by the Mad Angels.

This... I don't mind if the phone call is like five seconds long just to let someone know where you are and/or how long it'll be until you get to your stop. But, if you're going on and on about personal stuff that nobody wants to hear about, then use text messages (or some equivalent like Facebook PMs) for that.
Between this statement, his pet peeve about indecisive pigeons from last week's(?) Bombcast, and his hatred towards crabs (from Metal Gear Scanlon 3), I wonder if Dan likes any animals outside of dogs and deer.
I think this game broke Vinny and Alex harder than Mario Party broke the west coast crew. This proves Dan is truly history's greatest monster who has a very questionable taste in games (except for Stardew Valley, which is a legitimately good game).
Shenmue is an amazing game in that it can be tedious and sometimes not fun looking, but then you have moments like Ryo getting scammed out of 69,000 Yen and the game goes from average at best to absolutely brilliant and stupid.
