@mezza: Honestly that’s 4-5 hours too much single player. I couldn’t care less about the single player. I just want to jump in and start playing with friends with everything unlocked.

That's not how smash bros works though and it never has. This opening dozen or so hours of this series has always been about working towards unlocks, be it characters, or stages.

Honestly I liked this game a hell of a lot less after the first balance patch like a year ago that destroyed shit like Twin Daggers, Rapier, and Corrupted power. You use to be able to become an absolute beast if you found the right gear and now that's borderline impossible. Which imo is something that is antithetical to a rougelike/lite game. You should absolutely have those occasional runs where you get lucky and plow through with close to now resistance. These changes just aim to make the game which already becomes a slog around the "endgame" and beyond, more of a chore.

Yeah It seems very unlikely that they'd stack this thing full of them, but imo the PS1 era was the golden age of JRPGS. Back in the days when SquareSoft and Enix were actually doing their very best to out perform each other on a fairly regular basis. So I really hope the just get as many of those as they can. Get some Chrono Cross in there, Breath of Fire, Valkyrie Profile, Star Ocean, Legend of Dragoon. Lunar Silver Star Story, Front Mission, Persona 2, Legend of Mana, etc, etc. Just go hard on the JRPGs Sony.

I mean wasnt Nemesis that?

I dunno is Nemesis would count. He does chase you around once you encounter him but only until you 1. Temporarily kill him or 2. Progress past certain puzzle points, then he just goes away until the next scripted encounter. Also he doesn't really patrol so much as the game just spawns him areas you enter sometimes.

Dude...just cancel it already. People don't actually care about Crackdown this much Microsoft, it's ok to just be done with it.

Valve doesn't give two shits about the content on Steam as they've CLEARLY shown the past couple years. They are doing this because supposedly Paypal is actually getting up in their business about selling games that can be "construed as sexually oriented", and to lose Paypal as a payment method would be a fairly big deal.

Paypal is against this because again supposedly digital porn stuff has a very high charge back rate. I dunno how accurate the paypal stuff is but I do know that Valve clearly has stopped caring long ago and it doesn't make sense for them to suddenly start caring now. Especially in many of these cases where the games in question don't even have nudity anymore, much less sexual content.

I dunno how this could be shocking to anyone really. I don't remember the last time Valve made a good decision regarding Steam and it's practices. It's been all downhill for quite some time now.

I always avoided watching this video because I thought it would be the crew talking while actually building boxes from flat cardboard.

I'm sorry but, what? Why would that be your immediate thought? Heck the screenshot for said video is just them playing boxmaker.

You guys keep going on about "both" versions of the level. But remember that there is actually a third variation of the level that overwrites the ruined one if you travel back and knock out Stilton so that he never attends the seance thing and goes crazy.

  • For example, Slay a monster means to kill it, Capture is to get it alive via a trap/tranq boms and Hunt means either of those

To be fair though the only time when it's a Slay quest as apposed to a Hunt is when capturing is literally impossible from a game mechanics standpoint. Which means it's specifically small non-threatening monsters like your regular Gagras and Girros, and also anything categorized as an Elder Dragon like Zorah Magadaros and Nergigante. There is no quest in which you'll be penalized for capturing instead of just killing the monster.
