I get that this game looks like trash to 'normal' people, and I guess I agree it does look that way, but I'm not gonna call it trash. It's sold millions of copies, there are lots of people who have put thousands of hours into this game, there has to be something of value here even if we don't see it. Also as entertaining as this stream was, it's not like GB has shown of at all what the game really has to offer, especially the longer term stuff that has keeps lots of people playing. The interaction with other players on the server is a big part of it too. I think ARK is apart of a whole new generation of games that a lot of people just don't get.

Great stream though! As much as I expected, and more!

I'm kind of shocked reading the comments on this thing. Everyone seems to have decided this is a garbage game to be mocked. But I thought it looked cool, and the crew seemed to have fun with it (laughing with it, not at it), knowing that they barely scratched the surface.

Seems weird to me.

They were definitely laughing at it.

Well, you've made your opinion of the game known. And your own perception can influence what you see in others.

But that goes for me, too. So *shrug*

It's a pretty popular game. There's got to be something to it.

How can the Lara Croft thing even be a question? It's Lara, "La" like "car". That's the way it's been said in the games since 1996 (and...it's probably a British pronounciation?). Everything else is Merry-o level of humbug.

How you get to pronouncing it "Laura" is...um...huh.

Laura is just a much more common name for Americans I think, so it makes some amount of sense to go there, as it were. And name pronunciations are just different depending on where you come from. I'm an American, and my wife is Australian, and she finds it absolutely crazy that I think the name Harry and the word "hairy" sound exactly the same. Or that Craig rhymes with Greg to me.

It's always nice to see a glimmer of sincerity pierce the veil of irony and sarcasm, being the oft used tools of the internet funnymen.

But actually, this game looks alright. I could see myself playing this with my kids some day.

I don't drink soda (or pop if you're from WA) anymore. Nothing to do with 'it's bad for you' or what have you, I just don't care for it. I'd rather drink coffee/mocha. Also, kind of off-topic, but I once said 'pop' to someone from California, and they said they had no idea what I was talking about as they call it soda. Ha ha. Funny, I don't say pop that much now myself... It's weird how different places call it different things. 'Cola' is the weirdest.

In Michigan we're 100% pop people. But people still know what "soda" is. It's weird. In Michigan, even though no one calls it that, if you asked for soda or soda pop or whatever, people know what you mean. But the opposite isn't true. I lived in Louisiana and they just call all pop "Coke", but if I asked for pop they look at you like an alien. And in Australia they just call it soft drink but absolutely have no idea what "pop" is.

From the comments, it sounds like I'm better off skipping this one. But it's nice to see so much #content.

It sucks that people feel the need to comment on which human beings they don't like on each video/podcast, and it sucks knowing said humans read those comments and thinking how that must make them feel.

So. A lot of self deprecating in this episode. But let me say that this was one of the best UPFs in a while. Great chill vibe and good chemistry between the duders. Good show, old beans.

This is super random, but did you check out the Youtube channel ' The Great War'? It's really good if you want to learn about WWI.

Dude. Yes. It's so good. I've been watching that and listening to Dan Carlin's Hardcore History. And I'm currently reading through Dead Wake by Erik Larson, about the sinking of the Lusitania. It's quite good.

Battlefield 1 really grabbed me, and sucked me into a WWI history hole. I was more interested in this than I had been of any CoD since 4 because of the history angle, which in 2017 is a real novelty. After watching it though.....it just looks like CoD. I think in Battlefield's case it featured a war that has never really been featured in such a big way, and that definitely helped it feel more new and interesting. Now, granted, I've only seen the multiplayer here. And I was never going to be interested in the multiplayer. I'll have to see what the campaign actually delivers.
