The video they show to entice people to get a premium membership is nice, but it's a few years out of date, showing discontinued series and staff that have since left. There are a lot of great new series and moments that have happened in that time: This Is The Run, Playdate, and the new Film & 40's, not to mention newer installments of ongoing series like UPF. For the perspective premium member of 2017, I think the video should be updated to show what is now on offer. They wouldn't need to record any more footage - they could keep the parts with Jeff talking and put new clips in the montage. It would just be a matter of editing it together.
What do you think? Would this be a worthwhile effort, or a waste of time. I think it would be good to better represent the great value of a subscription nowadays.
This trailer did nothing for me... like, at all. Star Wars is probably my favorite franchise of all time, but increasingly I am becoming frustrated with its management under Disney. Too much retreading and worship of the original trilogy. I have very little interest in anyone from Episode 7, I find they are missing some invisible spark that's crucial to a Star Wars character. I know this is just a trailer, but they will have to do something really crazy for me to get invested in this movie. Only problem is, I have no idea what that thing would be...
I really, really don't care about either Chloe or Nadine. It was surprising to me when I found out people actually loved those characters. That said, I'm sure this thing will be fine for those people, it's just... what about these characters is interesting? Give me the Young Sully Chronicles and we can talk.
It depends on whether the design supports it. For example, Arkham started off really linear and steadily grew to a gigantic open world that wasn't that exciting. Batman's moves don't compliment the world anymore. Breath of the Wild looks like it gives the players a lot of options, so I imagine that will be more engaging.
Jumping around and spraying stuff is really fun, and I like the worlds. But they felt the need to stretch the game to 120 shines to match Mario 64, which resulted in tedious blue coins and bad filler missions. And you can't skip the cutscenes! Also, every time I play it I clip through a bridge or get stuck in a wall or something. Still, overall it's a fun game.
