Honestly, this episode is a lot longer than I thought it would be. Thanks guys, good luck and good job on creating a series to run through 2019!

@sethmode: You know what, sure you're totally right. I can see how my post can be read as casting aspersions at people although that certainly wasn't my intention. I didn't mean to come off as sounding serious at all but I apologise for what has proved to be poor wording on my part.

Gonna just delete those posts instead of editing.

@wandrecanada: Pushing someone to play more of a game with a hook of 'the story goes places' is probably a much easier sell than 'the gameplay loop kicks in' if the initial parts of a game aren't really grabbing you though.

Some very cool additions to the first game and looks different enough from Solitairica to still be interesting. Can't wait to play this and get up to more Victorian shenanigans.

It's totally fine that P5 didn't make the list, I might not even have put it on there, but I'm honestly finding it absolutely crazy that Ben and Alex think the interrogation room switch was too obtuse and complicated. My problem with that scene was the exact opposite, in that I thought they hammered you over the head with repeated re-explanations of what happened in that scene as if the player was an idiot who couldn't understand it. I came away from that 30-min sequence thinking that it could have been greatly trimmed by only explaining the 'heist twist' once but apparently I was wrong. The more you know I guess.

When I submit my vote, the theme changes to the white one and that is just wrong.

@humanity: MH games have a progression of quests balanced for solo players for you to follow that are also usually tied together loosely with a skeleton of a story that never really amounts to more than 'This monster almost killed you at the start of the game, go take revenge!' or 'The village is in danger! Go hunt the attacking monster!'. There is still the end goal though of reaching the end of the quest progression essentially, which will lead you to hunt increasingly more dangerous monsters. Reaching that end is intended to have you then move into the quests balanced for multiple players which themselves have increasing ranks of difficulty with an eventual end.

That being said, I remember reading an interview about this game where the developers claimed that they're going to put more focus on the story for this game. Honestly, I wouldn't expect much but they have been adding more fleshed out NPCs in recent MH games so it's not entirely without hope.

I haven't listened to this yet but this title reminded me of @ltsquigs Kirby and Sandwich Theory stream and now I'm upset about Pop Tarts again.
