Joke answer: I want to see it on some tasty plasma.

Real answer: I only saw it once, when it was in theaters, and I super disappointed by it. At that point, I'd only played three FF games, the three PS1 ones, and I loved all three of them. I was really hoping for a two-hour cinematic experience that gave me the same feelings those games did. Instead I got an incredibly boring, trite story that I quickly forgot all about except for the lingering disappointment of what could've been. I strongly suspect that it is not some under-appreciated gem that will improve with a second viewing.

@haneybd87: For the purposes of GOTY discussion, basically everything European/North American that sounds pre-Jazz counts as "classical." Whether it's folk, baroque, romantic, renaissance, or anything else. The Witcher 3 soundtrack was created primarily with a variety of wind and string instruments that are not used in modern music, and it isn't rock, pop, rap, synth, blues, jazz, metal, or country. That kind of music is always discounted by the GB crew; whereas for a long time they have overly rewarded (IMO) chiptune music.

The Witcher 3 was shafted in some other categories, but not music simply because musical taste is so subjective. And the GB crew has made clear over and over again that do not care about orchestral or classical sounding music, no matter how good it is.

That's a strange cocoa percentage, aren't they usually a number that ends in 0 or 5 (60%, 75%, 80%, etc.), why 62%

Also, yes, strange launch gift; unless they were getting tons of branded swag and this one was just unfortunate.

@deckard: If it is the dev team, all I can think is they put the order in before the game was released and told the producer to add whatever the metacritic score on release day was to the label. And then forgot/didn't have a chance to change the order later.

Lifeline, because I randomly had two good games with her and can proudly display her banner showing my 4 kills. All those 0s on the other characters, #feelsbadman

There's been a handful of exceptions, at least among what I've played (which certainly isn't everything), but overall, yeah, you're right. That's what JRPGs are; I assume that's what Japanese audiences like.

The exceptions I've played are: Final Fantasy XII (if you ignore Vaan), Tales of Berseria (especially the first half, the second half does start getting bogged down with a more traditonal plot). Nier (if you count it as a JRPG). Suikoden 3 (well, 2 out of the 3 storylines ), and Resonance of Fate (2 of the 3 characters are younger, but none are like usual JRPG characters).

I didn't even know i9s were a thing. I'm still using my i5 and having zero issues with playing anything on top settings. I'd imagine pretty much any of the i7s are more than enough future proofing.

I'm not much of an expert though.
