Saw that pic or one just like it in GamePro back when MK II was hyping up. I miss that particular moment in gaming history quite a bit. Fond memories.

" A couple things get under my skin, if he has wings with the ability to fly straight up like that, then why the hell do you need to go through the trouble of using Valkyries to cross chasms?  Also, why do Skeletons have blood?  Not being a troll, the game looks amazing, but I hate where you have abilities like that in cut scenes and certain areas, yet you can't use it to cross chasms. "
There was a convenient up-flow that allowed him to ascend. The wings just allow him a slower descent, Soul Reaver or Batman style.
But I swear, I've played every God of War to date, and I've never really questioned the bleeding skeletons. That's goddamn hilarious!

" @mook201: Its also the developing curve and costs of the system as well.  Developing on the PS3 is much more difficult alltogether which prompts a lot of developers to half ass it or not do anything at all, like Valve who doesnt develop for the PS3.  It may be a stronger system, or may not be - it is at least more complicated and frustrating that pushes a lot of developers away when using it. "
I disagree ... slightly. All of what you said could be said of the PS2. But back then Sony had a market share that dwarfed the competition, so developers (no less frustrated with the PS2's infrastructure) would never consider NOT developing for the PS2 if they could help it.
Now as the shoe is on the other foot (to a lesser degree) ... Well let's just say that it's a good thing Sony ain't short on resources. Because if they did, PS3 could be Sony's Dreamcast. But if Sony couldn't afford the risk of putting out such a feature-heavy system, they would not have done so to begin with.

As for Activision ... Fuck them. It's no small feat to make EA look like a generous publisher. But Activision is doing a bang up job at it.
I think Bobby should shut his pie-hole, and consider cutting back on Activision's bored and bloated legal department if he wants to save a few pennies.

I could be wrong, but not putting the resources into PC multiplayer (due to having to make a cut) sounds like the most logical solution. PC games are usually cheapest (this PC game is anyhow). And they are easiest to support post-release. So they could always add it later as DLC. Free or not.

I don't see that as unfair, or even an issue.

The PS3 thing just sounds like a goofy thing to say, plus it's a copout. If other devs can make games on PS3 look good, there's no excuse. They just failed to do so themselves, and shouldn't sling mud at the hardware when it's obviously lack-luster software at fault.

Natal's got potential. Dismissing potential is not a good practice. Call it a gimmick. Call it whatever. But Natal could be what allows you to play the next killer app. Same goes for Sony's Waggle-wands as well. They're a lot like Nintendo's but it's not Nintendo licensing them. So again ... potential.

That's the same reason they make games.

I felt the same as you when I was young (because my dad used to feed me the "homeless are lazy" BS). But then I began actually stopping to talk to homeless people. I'd ask them how they ended up homeless, and 95% of the time it would be from things completely out of their control, mostly issues dealing with health and cost of medication.

I assure you laziness ain't a factor. Some of them are con-artists. But even then they are not lazy people.

I'll usually punch a pillow if I get really pissed off. I had a real bad temper as a kid and it was usually my brother who would be the closest thing to punch, so the pillow being next to me during tougher games is a must at points.

I loved the first. It really screamed 'potential', and what was there, I had a lot of fun with. Especially after I turned the entire HUD off and relied only on the game's brilliantly designed audio/visual clues to lead my assassin marionette. It took away the contrived and repetitive feeling which carrying out the missions gave me at points. And after that it was as immersive and slick as anything I've ever played.

This sequel is giving me almost everything I thought "It'd be great if ..." about the first. Ubi sure listened to their fans on AC2.
I will wait impatiently for it.
