Hello!

So, for my research, I need to find a game, that went through development issues and was redirected to another company or changed entire development teams. I remember a couple, where the first part of the game was completed by one team, and the whole ending by another company, because of this it flopped financially and had bad reviews. Unfortunately, I do not remember specific names :/ I think it was one of the deus ex games, but I'm not entirely sure.

Any titles would be appreciated!

@north6: Well, to be honest, there are a couple of reasons. First, the always seem to be made of softer fabric, so they feel more comfortable. They are made for sitting for long periods of hours, much longer than office chairs. And usually, the design looks way nicer and they tend to be more durable? Or at least that was my conception :) but I might be wrong.

@retris Thank you for the recommendations!

So, I currently need to buy a new gaming chair. I need to pick a good chair for max. 400$, for someone small (157 cm) preferably from DxRacer, but any other brand is also good as long as the chair will be comfortable and durable (I don't want it to be destroyed in just 2 years ) :D

And of course, I'm located in Europe, so it needs to be available here

@nicksmi56 Holly, thank you for such a great and in-depth response ! You definitely helped me understand my issue by sharing your own experiences ! you have such a healthy attitude towards something relaxing, entertaining, and something that is supposed to be form of your leisure time, not a part time job (because that how video games feels to me now)

@nutter , @efesell@bradbrains I will definitely consider cutting my backlog, but definitely it might be the issue, and I'm buying too many games for full price on a whim. I didn't think they are such a big part of the problem, because no matter if I have 3 or 12 games on my backlog, I still can't focus on the game I'm currently playing. I will give it a shot tho and see how I feel :)

I will cut my backlog, buy games on at least 30% price cut instead of buying them at the release date and not playing them for months. Plus, what I think will help me the most is breaking this big 50+h games with one/two days of some roguelike game or multiplayer session, perhaps some small 8-12h game :)

I was thinking I would be laughed at, and criticized, not even mentioning receiving any helpful advice. I was sooo wrong. Everyone in this post pitched in something very important and meaningful for me, and my life. I'm really motivated and I already feel better. My anxiety with beating video games will probably be smaller until if will finally be gone, and video games will again start feeling like video games. So thank you <3

I feel constant pressure of getting and completing next game from my backlog. Even if I really love the game I'm currently playing, I don't have enough patience to explore, avoid guides as soon as I encounter an obstacle or hard puzzle on my journey, and enjoy the world. As a result, after finishing a game I don't have any meaningful memory or recollection of what happened in the story, how my playtrough looked like just day or two after. I just jump to another game. They are more of a trophies or numbers on my groove (https://www.grouvee.com/) list of completed games than enjoying them as art or storytelling medium.

I feel like not only I ruined experience with some of the greatest games of current decade, but also I feel like I'm playing games for sake of playing games.

Meanwhile, I watch people like https://www.twitch.tv/excessiveprofanity who was so deeply involved on his first playtrough of sekiro, analyzing small details and story bits even in item description, look at beautiful valleys and landscapes. I want to improve my way of consuming video games as form of entertainment, so that they actually force me to ask myself questions, analyze, connect with them on a whole new level. It would help me as a story writer, concept artist, and help me grow as a person.

Do you guys have any suggestions on how should I tackle this issue ? What can I do to break this terrible habbit ? And perhaps, can some of you relate and experience similar issue ?

So, I'm currently in situation where I need to buy another monitor for my PS4 Pro and future consoles.

I have budget of around 520-550$, and I'm thinking of either buying normal monitor with 122hz , or 4k monitor 30"+ with 60hz

I didn't want to end up selling normal monitor after 1-2 years because of next-gen consoles, and wanted to utilize full graphic abilities of PS4 Pro. I simply wanted to future-proof my monitor, but buying 4k monitor with this specs seems like waste too.

Any advice ? what would you guys do in my place ?

Whole soundtrack from Persona 5 and Celeste. But particularly sear to my bones from Persona 5. For one particular reason - immersion. For me, soundtrack doesn't need to be technically good and energetic as a standalone piece of music, but it needs to immerse you into the game, and help you feel like your right there, at the moment, in this imaginary world. Not a single game does it better than Persona 5 and Celeste.

It depends on the genre, but in general I don't like too many skills and too complex mechanics, but I love nice and immersive combat, so gameplay is very important factor in keeping me interested in the game. Graphics don't matter too me as much, and I replayed a lot of my retro games from 1998-2006. So for me it would be a tie between gameplay/story and then graphics.

I'm currently playing assassins creed odyssey, and it's absolutely amazing. I love all weapon types, skills, historical locations, audio, graphics etc. It`s first game I feel like was literally created for me. And suprisingy, this heavy emphasis on moral choices as something new to me, and was very refreshing compared to other games I played (hollow knight bloodborne god of war etc.)

Hey guys !

So, I'm planning on buying more advanced mouse and Razer Tartarus.

Do you guys know any unused keyboard shortcuts that I can assign to all this additional buttons ? That don't have any functions at all on PC and I can use for PC gaming ?
