I'm just going to say that the Legend of Zelda, Halo, Phoenix Wright, Bastion, and Metal Gear soundtracks are probably the best in the business. Chrono Trigger and Final Fantasy games also are top tier. Smash Bros Ultimate probably has the best soundtrack ever, but that's because it has hundreds of amazing songs from a ton of different franchises, so that probably disqualifies it.

I despise the character models in Immortals: Fenix Rising. They look like awful playmobil toys.

Last gen had so many amazing indie titles. The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth, Hollow Knight, and Stardew Valley are all in my top 10 favorite games of all time, so I guess I'd go with those. Honorable mentions to Enter the Gungeon, Nuclear Throne, and Rocket League. Not sure if Hades and Spelunky 2 count, but they're both also on my top 10 games of all time list.

Smash has always had a great amount of enjoyable and challenging single player content since Melee. Ultimate is no different. World of Light has some genuinely insane and creative moments that make it worth a playthrough.

@sahalarious: Idk why but they just seem kinda dull to me now, which is crazy because I absolutely though 2 was one of the best games that year. I'm just disappointed I don't like the games as much as I used to. None of the characters are as standout as I remembered them being. I don't really have super strong feelings about any of the characters, which in a party based rpg is kinda sad. Idk, I wish I liked the games as much as some people but they just don't if for me like they used to.

After watching a playthrough of the entire trilogy a couple years ago, I think the games don't hold up super well. The writing is relatively good, but I feel like the Witcher 3 does everything these games do but way better.

I guess Jan because he's kinda close to my age and is definitely the most hip of the crew.

@purpleshyguy: Yeah I feel like those moles are one of the most annoying enemies I've ever dealt with in a game. And you have to deal with them every single run because they're in the 1st world so there is no way you won't encounter them.

Spelunky 2. It's a huge bummer because Spelunky 1 is one of my favorite games ever, but I just don't like some of the changes they made to the controls plus the annoying new enemies in the first zone. I ended up just watching people play through it and that was a lot better. In terms of 2d platformer physics and controls, Spelunky is probably my second favorite after Hollow Knight so I'm sad that I don't enjoy playing 2.

Speaking of Hollow Knight, I had to quit playing that because I got to the Pantheons and Hall of Gods. I realized after doing a decent portion of that content it would take way too much time and practice for me to git gud enough to beat all of it and sadly quit. If I was unemployed I would absolutely commit to doing it, but alas I don't think that I'm going to be having that much free time in the near future.
