As far as the glasses discussion goes, my dad got me some welding glasses that go over my own glasses. They're giant and oversized and goofy and I love them.
Man I really dislike Rorie in this. If he's not talking over Ben and interrupting with useless or wrong advice from chat, he's chewing ice into the mic.
Vinny, I'm begging you, please get a bullet list or watch a video to refresh your memory a bit because you're killing me with telling Alex wrong info all the time.
Glad to see both Jeff and Brad put Forsaken on their lists, though I really wish Jeff will find a clan or a group of people he can do the raid content with.
The fact that I completely forgot Faye's name until I looked it up right now means God of War handled her poorly.
God of War handled her poorly and treated her only as the reason to keep the plot moving. She was never a character. What was she like? Could she take Kratos on one on one? Was she nurturing? Did she have a sense of humor? Could she make Kratos weep and laugh?
You can't tell me anything about her character other than she was a mother and a wife. Kratos and Atreus never even bother to share one story about her to give insight into what she was like. Not one moment of "Hey remember when mom did this and nearly burned the house down?" or something, anything, to give us a picture of the person Kratos actually managed to not only love, but manage be loved by. You'd think at any point of this long perilous journey to respect her wishes we'd see a glimpse into why these two characters loved and cared for her other than the "mom/wife" role. The mom in The Quiet Man has more character than Faye does.
Abby's criticisms and use of the fridging trope are correct and well placed. It's a black mark on an otherwise amazing game.
I'm currently playing through this now and at a couple of points I was thinking "This seems like a game Abby and Vinny would love" and it was great seeing Vinny like it and Abby enthused about it.
I'm only at Chapter 3, but this game feels really charming and great.
