Did they change the hacking minigame? Or is that a part of the mod?
I remember a simon-like minigame?
I think that's the PC versions hacking mini-game which is why it was so awkward to do with a controller.
The original had some kind of QTE that just involved the face buttons.
The only thing I noticed with the texture pack were those damn fine suits Anderson was wearing, (and other NPCs) they look dapper as hell. (originally they looked like they were coloured in crayon)
Anyway, I support Vinny's effort to revive Mass Effect and Alex seems to be very patient of it's dated mechanics which isnt always easy.
It's games like God Hand and Vanquish that make me sad that Shinji Mikami doubled down on horror games, he's far better at making action games in my opinion. (Not to say that RE & TEW arent great)
I'm glad Vinny actually read the tweet, while listening to the bombcast (west) and not knowing the details I was just wondering what the fuck had happend and it sounded like some trolling. (which it wasnt)
Overall I think people shouldnt lose their jobs over twitter drama but defending someone for being shitty over twitter (in this case Price) seems a bit off to me. Not something to lose your job over though.
@karrius: YongYea has a few videos on this which covers everything pretty well

Yeah, he can generally analyze and breakdown bullshit and hypocrisy very well.
He's better at gathering information than most, it is quite shameful how some sites only present the information that fit their narrative. This whole situation is shitty but the worst thing about it is sites like Polygon and Kotaku fanning the flames with misinformation.
I spent my childhood playing Streets of Rage 1 and 2 and I still love the atmosphere and soundtrack of those games but even I recognize beat'em'ups are bad and there is no reason for someone to release one in 2018.
Nah.
This is a just a really mediocre beat em up with bad writing, there's a bunch of good modern beat 'em ups, like Fight 'N Rage for example.
Yeah there are still some good beat'um ups coming out. I played Mother Russia Bleeds fairly recently and thats alright. I only paid £3 for it though, if i'd paid much more for it i'd feel worse about it. These types of games are short for a reason (aside from them originating in arcades) they're very repetitive and there isnt much depth but they can be a fun way to blow of steam, kind of the gaming equivalent of junk food.
About the racism thing I think what they were going for was a James Hong type character and not just going 'hey look hes speaking engrish, isnt that funny, ha ha'. People tend to jump the gun a bit these days though so avoiding these types of characters is probably the smart thing to do.
That being said this game isnt very funny, even Shadow Warrior (new and old) had better jokes than this.
@ravelle: The sad part is the nightmare was removed in the HD collection so that dumb conversation never took place. That and the weird skate boarding in Substance are the two reasons I still keep my PS2 discs. (stupid I know)
I'm glad they didnt have to backtrack, (as in go up all those stairs again, not the usal backtracking) that really would have sucked.
I also like that in the MGS universe you can get blown up and come back like it's nothing. Kojima's been watching that "Japanese Anime".
I'm pretty sure Kojima said this would be an action game in one of the first interviews for it. I'm fine if it turns out to be a weird walking simulator / survival game though. This game still seems more interesting to me than most the games that were shown at e3.
@katpottz: The character models dont look that different but the lighting is definitely a lot better, one of the things they're touting is drastically improved damage models and facial expressions.
