Halo Infinite (PC GamePass so it kinda counts) // Demon's Souls // Beatsaber (I guess?)

Won't be picking up a Series X|S because a good gaming PC makes it redundant from an exclusives standpoint (the back compat seems cool.)

I've locked in my PS5 Disc preorder now but honestly not 100% sure why I'm buying it. The only "new" thing that really interests me is Demon's Souls but after Sekiro I feel like I'm kinda over Soulsborne games? It looks pretty though so I'll pick it up anyway. I am also probably gunna grab Spider Man Ultimate Edition because I skipped it on PS4. Oh and Planet Coaster, but that one's for a different reason!

My Quest 2 recently just arrived. I already had a Quest 1 so I've honestly played a lot of the VR games I'm curious about at this point - Alyx didn't grab me (playing wirelessly via Virtual Destop), and I played a boatload of BeatSaber on PSVR but it's still probably my favourite thing on there. Once the Elite Strap arrives I'll probably get back to the Squadrons campaign though with the Quest 2.

@supermonkey122: I heard rumours today on ResetEra that some people who previously had Amazon orders that were too late to be for release date are having their orders bumped up to release day now. If this is actually true (I don't have any evidence myself, my preorder has always been for the 19th which is release day here in the UK) then it seems like Amazon have got a better handle on the launch numbers they've been allocated now so optimistically your preorder should be fine.

StarCraft II is still the best RTS. Unfortunately the (excellent) co-op mode is only 2-player. but you can do 3v3 online games, 1v1v1 FFAs or a boatload of excellent Arcade experiences.

I've only seen 12 anime films so far, and of those I think I have to go for the "boring" choice and pick Your Name. I will definitely be checking out Girl Who Lept Through Time now, though.

Running on an i7 9700k and a 2080ti and struggling to hit 60 even on High. Admittedly I'm running at a high resolution (3440x1440).

I'd say normal framerate is somewhere between 40-55 but my CPU and GPU are usually only at 50-70% load. Occasionally the CPU spikes up to 100% but it's a bit odd. Might put it back to Ultra since the framerate barely gets any lower.

My main grievance with the game is even despite the feedback they got in Alpha they still haven't added an exclusive fullscreen mode. The only option is borderless and a lot of people with G-Sync monitors have issues getting it to work unless the application is full screen. I also occasionally get issues with borderless applications where when the window is focused it thinks it is in the background and runs at a lower fps (~20) and when it actually is in the background it does the opposite and runs fine! I have to close and restart it, which isn't fun when it takes so long to load up.

Actually flying in the game is a blast, I just wish there were more guided experiences than the 8 tutorials. The Activities section would be great if every one wasn't "hey here's this really incredibly difficult thing even if you're a real pilot, go". The game is so overwhelming with the number of planes and being able to go anywhere, I wish there was a list of shortish flights with increasingly complicated planes that guided you through the process of going from a prop plane like the tutorial Cessna to a jet and eventually an airliner.

@grayfox666: The blacks are so impressive, and I prefer vibrant images. Everything I've seen in HDR was desaturated and crap. Tried calibrating it but it never looks as good as SDR, I guess I prefer "unrealistic" colours.

Seriously though the thing that impresses me about OLED is being in a pitch black room when the screen is dark. I tried Horizon in HDR and it does this horrific auto brightness adjustment so whenever you are in a snowy area at night it alternates between blown out brightness and not being able to see anything in the dark whenever you look up and down.

I have a B16 and a C17 (so the B16 is over 3 years old now) and neither have burn in.

Best screens I've ever bought. OLED > HDR or any other TV tech right now. In fact I mostly turn HDR off because it looks better without it.

@brspies: @cikame: I'm in the alpha so I'm aware of this, but it's still a bummer being from the UK and getting one hand crafted airport that's locked behind an edition of the game that isn't included with GamePass and costs over £100.

Hmm Heathrow is Premium only? And no Gatwick... Not sure how to feel about that one.

@bollard: I've already seen a few people rocking experimentally looking frames of other car types so I don't think it'll be long before Sonic and Thomas the Tank Engine are ripping down the track.

Great news!
