Awesome episode again! Here are some topic suggestions for future episodes:
* Weather - what causes wind? why does thunder accompany lightning? what are hot and cold fronts?
* The human body - Seriously. The human body is crazy. The brain in particular is really cool. Let's take some time to appreciate how crazy our species is and learn about it in the process. You could also look at the immune system, but that might be weird considering the current pandemic.
* Economics and/or the stock market - I'd love to hear Dan's take on this subject...What is money and why does it have value? Who/what is actually determining that 1 us dollar is worth .85 euros? And why does it change all the time? What causes a market crash and why is that bad? Where is the actual 'money' if I'm just using venmo and credit cards all the time now? And if there's time, for extra credit maybe we'll even get into crypto currency...
From the various reviews online it seems like The Ascent is pretty polarizing. I'm in the camp that's digging it so far (I'm probably 3-4 hours in). It’s certainly not a 9/10 GotY sort of game but it’s still fun. It picks up a lot once you get some better upgrades and reach the more open world.
EDIT: And I'm also in the "elite controllers are amazing in theory, but horrid in execution/quality" camp. My elite controller only lasted about 8 months before running into broken buttons and crunching noises from the joysticks.
