So I think the reason I'm okay with the lack of polish with Bloodstained is that it feels like a team punching above their weight, and in general I like that kind of jank.
I dunno what it says about my observation skills but it took to the "baba booey" bit until I started feeling deja-vu. I'm pretty sure I had the same internal reaction to it as I did last time ("jeez Vinny you're kinda being a dick right now, this isn't like you")
@tgjessie: the best I can tell you is to try to ignore it. Focus on the Austin Walker style fans, not the others. If you can't, you can't. There are a million games. Can't really argue the ways we decide what to skip.
So I didn't play Origins, and this seems pretty cool, so I might play it.
But at what point do these games stop being Assassin's Creed games. Are you an Assassin? Do you Assassinate? If you had asked me what parts of the Assassin brand were critical, I probably would have said sweet wrist blades and the weird future-past story line. It feels like they've completely abandoned the future stuff, and you're telling me this game doesn't have wrist blades?
Again, I'm probably going to get this and enjoy it. It looks neat. But it really doesn't look like an Assassin's Creed game.
