Managed to play an hour of this last night but I'm probably not going to have time to really play it for a couple of weeks - really looking forward to seeing how it's turned out and I really like what I've played so far.
Floating point numbers are not approximate, they are precise. The issue is that you can't represent every number using floating point, so results have to be rounded.
Also, you can represent real numbers without floating point numbers by using fixed point numbers and arithmetic, which is much faster and easier to perform (and in many cases more precise than floating point), but which does not have a high dynamic range.
Watching these streams is kind of making me really want to get this and play it. It looks like there's really a lot of fun and crazy stuff to do in this.
