I don't understand how Senua is just tossed out like that? She is by far one of the most realized characters I have ever seen in a game, and her journey and evolution as she tries to defeat her demons is such a personal and captivating tale. That game may have problems, but god damn the characterization itself is something so incredibly well done. Bayek is above her? Really?

The whole cloth dismissal of Hellblade as an argument is also so misguided and dismissive that I almost cannot believe it. That isn't how mental illness works? What? I mean, I take the game as a higher authority on that, over something someone read somewhere or something.

That the Nier music is supposedly tacked on is one of the wildest statements I have ever heard.

Well this category is kind of a mess, they basically all seem to have different definitions to what exactly this is.

I don't think actual mechanics should factor in to this, as much as simply a well built world that is either cool to explore, or just very detailed and has a lot of care put into it.

Its crazy to me not finishing the post game stuff in Mario, because its always where the best levels are.. has been that way since Galaxy..

also their expectations for an actual Animal Crossing game on phones is a bit silly, it was never going to be that to directly alienate the upcoming console one.

I think Dan's gleeful ignorance shtick is getting so tiresome. If you don't understand something, well it takes about 30 seconds to google it and figure it out. Yeah, it was funny for a while but he keeps doing the same thing for so many subjects now and it always goes the exact same way.

Furthermore its both sad and frustrating that anything sexy is now automatically equated to being bad and then there is nothing more to even say. People are horny, often, so how is a game reveling in that bad? Especially when the game is not discriminating in anyway. I say reveling, but in Nier its such a minor part that getting stuck on it seems very surface level.

Makes sense, Jeff always seemed open about not liking turned based strategy games.

I don't understand the negative attitude towards this, of course there are people with no other means to play this. Plenty of people only have Nintendo consoles. It seems like a really solid version, just toned down a bit.

I guess its hard to see otherwise when you are so involved in games and basically own all platforms.
