i really like portal, so I was just wondering

At the moment, it is believed that Portal: Still Alive is going to be nothing more than a map pack. Portal 2 is a completely different game, all together.

To the OP, I believe it is unknown at the moment. MS is usually really tight about announcing Marketplace games release dates.

I thought I read or saw something at e3 that you don't need the Orange Box to play this? That would make it lean towards more of a stand-alone xbla game, not a map pack.

Its not a sequel. And yes it is a standalone game.
Think of a game bundled with an expansion pack, and there it is

Hell no, it's just some new levels that's all. New game? XD They already expressed their feelings about it not being Portal 2. I wish it was, if it was then i would be pissed its not on PSN.

Definitely looking forward to them in fall.  Regardless, if it's nothing more than a few levels.  The focus of Portal is the extensive intellectual exercises, so the new levels are definitely something for me to be excited about. :D

If you even HAVE a PC, its your best bet to not waste your money, unless you really want to. Have you played the 2D portal levels in 3D? Awesome sauce.

Microsoft has not given many release dates out yet. All we know is 2008.

LMAO, shame on you.

Got all gold on Portal, that was a pain. Running from one room to another every step in-game, to go look at the computer which was displaying YouTube videos. Sure I cheated it, but I get frustrated -- even knowing what to do was still frustrating. Have to perfect it. :[

Edit: And by cheat I don't mean I glitched the achievements or anything. I just used techniques by other people for my personal gain.
