Portal Reference Used to Mock Anti-Gay Protester's Signs
A friend of mine posted that link to this Fox News video of some extremist anti-gay propagandists outside a Portland high school. I was delighted to see that when it breaks from the newscaster to show the crowd, the first signs you see are held up by gamers mocking the actual protesters:
"Pac-Man Hates Ghosts"
"The Cake Is a Lie"
"Waca Waca" (referencing the sound Pac-Man makes)
and if you look closely:
"God Hates Lag"
I like to think the combination of the maneuverability practice of the Pac-Man players and the spatial intelligence of the Portal guy helped them strategically place themselves at the place where they were most likely to be panned over by the camera.

That's pretty great.
The person that finally cracks and goes to the church and systematically eliminates all of the Westboro morons will be an American hero.
Ha, yeah I saw this on the news in Oregon. I had to do a double-take when I saw the game references.
PS: NE Portland is kind of known as the sketchy part of Portland, however there's a good amount of college students in that area as well. Which would explain why the counter-protest has such a large gathering.
good theres a counter protest to these cultists, these people are pretty much anti-everything other than their church.
The things gamers could do if they wasn't so lazy. Lets face it theres hundreds of thousands of us that communicate on the internets from all over the world. If only we could channel it towards goo..well not "good" that would be boring but putting our favourite games into some funny real life situations.
Lets have a pacman run across the pitch during the world cup. Or Sonic perhaps hes a better fit.
