Overview
Idol Mahou Shoujo Chiruchiru ☆ Michiru is a episodic visual novel developed by Front Wing. The game is a spin-off title from the Grisaia trilogy of visual novels.
The first part was released on August 15, 2014 for the PC with the second part releasing December 26, 2014. One episode will be included with the PlayStation Vita release of Grisaia no Meikyuu. A PlayStation Vita version of the game was released in Japan on June 25, 2015, published by Prototype.
The game was a successfully funded on Kickstarter as part of a strech goal for the The Grisaia Trilogy Kickstarter which aims to bring the Grisaia games to the west. The Kickstarter reached it's goal and stretch goals on January 31, 2015. The English version was released on Steam on July 29, 2015, published by Sekai Project.
Story
The game stars 14 year old middle schooler Matsushima Michiru as she strives to be a famous idol. One night she spots a shooting star and wishes to become a idol, but instead she is met with a Nyanmel a magical talking cat that came hurdling down from the sky. There Nyammel ask Michiru to become a mahou shoujo (magical girl) in order to save the world. A majority of the Grisaia character make a appearance in this spin-off title including main protagonist Kazami Yuuji as a small child in the hospital. The game is set up in a episodic format where as soon as a player finishes a episode they are met with a credit sequence. There are 13 episodes in total with part one containing 7 episodes and part 2 containing 6.
