His AMA is pretty interesting. Sounds like he wants Fez ported to pretty much everything. He mentions Sony and OUYA ports too. Curious how it would run on a phone.

Fez Coming to the PCs on May 1

Now PC and Mac owners can also appreciate what a pretentious douchebag Phil Fish is.
Still haven't forgiven him for his moronic twitter rants and general arrogance. I find it impossible to enjoy FEZ anymore because I know it was made by such a massive twat.
I can relate. If the guy made shit to back-up his douchebaggery (like, let's say, McMillen), I'd probably be able to swallow his bullshit, but alas, no.
Yay, I will finally get to play this.
The Internet truly forgives all, eh? I hope the game doesn't release with a save-destoying bug that he refuses to properly fix.
Oh, really?
Fez is a console game, not a PC game,” he [Fish] states, emphatically. “It’s made to be played with a controller, on a couch, on a Saturday morning. To me, that matters; that’s part of the medium.” I get /so many/ comments shouting at me that I’m an idiot for not making a PC version. ‘You’d make so much more money! Can’t you see? Meatboy sold more on Steam!’ Good for them. But this matters more to me than sales or revenue. It’s a console game on a console. End of story
So, how about that Phil? Changed your mind? Weird how that goes.
The game seems good, but nope. I really can't stand Fish so I wont support him.
yeah .. this choice seems driven by the fact that hes "been doing nothing" i guess this is how long the xbox money lasted him.
People act like they've never said anything stupid. Give it a break. I hate Tom Cruise, but I don't let that ruin all the great movies he's been in.
Well's he's said a lot of stupid things, back to back, where millions of people could read it.
I'm legitimately unsure if you're speaking of Tom Cruise or Phil Fish. But really, if you want to dislike a great game for reasons you can full-well get over then that's your business.
I will buy a copy on every single device Fez is released on to counter-act the silly Fish hate. Fezis the game most definitive of last generation.
Imagine if any of the people commenting on this story ever heard any stories about Harvey Weinstein. They'd have to force themselves to never watch an Oscar winning movie again!
theres a huge difference between Fish's position at his studio and Weinstein's position at his company. Weinstein's involvement in the actual creation of the movies he releases is minuscule when compared to Fish's direct involvement in Fez. Its more like not wanting to watch any of Kevin Smith's movies because you think he's an asshole.
This whole thing of "man, Phil Fish is such an asshole I'm not buying his game." Really childish.
Phil Fish, working for years and years on this game, sticking to his vision of this as a console game made possible by Xbox Live, getting hounded by people "yo, this looks good but WHY YOU NO MAKE IT PC?" and he says "uh, it was designed to be a console game," and the response is "WELL FUCK YOU YOU BETTER NOT FUCKING RELEASE IT ON PC THEN EVER YOU FUCKING ASSHOLE FUCK YOU!"
Phil Fish seems like a person I would not want to be friends with in real life. So it's really a shame that I have to be to play his critically-acclaimed game. Wait, I don't? Score.
HELL YEAH!
If this comes out on Vita I might have to buy it twice. Though hopefully it'll be on PS Plus so it'll be free like Retro City Rampage!
Cool, was waiting for a PC version. I wonder if Linux is something they'd be looking into as well. Wouldn't mind a 3DS version either.
Glad to see it's gaining more ground other than XBLA though, the more that get a chance to play Fez the better.
Linux version will happen, but only because the Humble Bundles exist and he won't have a choice. The question is will it be good and supported well.
I get the feeling most of the humble bundle candidates are like 'Linux Yeah!', some are 'Linux is pretty neat and I'll get to it, but its low on my list, cuz I'm way too busy'
But a few are like 'steups, fine. whatever, let's just hire icculus to push this port out asap, and hope noone uses it, because we don't want to support this, cuz who uses this dumb OS anyways' Runic Games, the Torchlight guys are like that. Team Meat is like that. The Linux version isn't even on their websites. I get a feeling Phil Fish will be like that. I have no evidence though (other than the douchey reputation), and I hope I'm wrong about that.
@radioactivez0r: Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't the cost of patching the main deterrent? With the move to PC, patching should become a snap. Still leaves Xbox 360 players out in the cold...
Good news, crossing this off my PC-port wish list. Next item on the agenda is Dust: An Elysian Tail.
AGREED!
Dust is pretty good.

I hate Kayne West as a person, yet Graduation is in my top 5 albums of all time.
The artist shouldn't affect your enjoyment of the art.
Uhh, are twitter rants part of the game? Why should I care?
Depends how you understand his rants. I'm not really into FEZ, might get it at a sale in a bundle or what not, but I wont specifically buy that game, however, when he says "PCs are crap and the only good thing they can do is spreadsheets, so there will never be support for my game on that platform." - or something similar, I have to wonder what kind of effort will be put into that port and what kind of support can we expect if something is broken.
His loud mouth does not only affect the picture of how people see him, but also his products.
I bet Fez will sell fine on Steam and it will almost certainly be ported fine, but really, people should think what they say, especially when they are in the media lights. It's easy to say something without thinking, it's hard to forget what was said.
I love Phil Fish. I've been waiting for this game to be ported for a goddamn year.
I mean, hell, I think Ryan is a way bigger asshole than Phil Fish.
Hooray for dismissing a brilliant game because of the personality of its creator. Limiting your horizons is dope!

I didn't mention anything about the game itself. I actually wrote a review for Fez on this website and scored it pretty high. I'm simply saying that Phil Fish is the sort of guy that probably shouldn't speak publicly very often if at all. The way he presents his opinions usually does him no favors, as it's crass and without any tact. David Jaffe manages to pull this off without sounding like a complete asshole but Phil Fish hasn't grown up enough to do that yet.
All that is separate from his game of course, which I thought was neat. Anyone that won't play a game because they don't like the CEO of the publisher or someone from the development team is acting pretty silly. Tom Cruise can do or say whatever he wants in his spare time, I don't care, I still think he's a great actor and enjoy his movies - his personal life doesn't really concern me and thats how people should approach game developers as well.
NOBODY should buy this.
The hipster piece of shit dev does not deserve our PC-gamer money.
He initially said PCs are not for gaming and only good for Excel tables. He also said Japanese games suck.
But I wouldn't expect Patrick to know such things or just sweep it under the rug, anyway.
@patrickklepek Don't know if you caught it, but Fish was on an ask anything open questionnaire yesterday for a couple hours. Some great questions in there and insight to his thoughts, the game and reactions since the indie movie.
Wasnt Fish badmouthing pc as a platform for his game the whole time that the game was in development?
I dont like supporting developers whose egos are bigger than the gravitional pull of the planet Jupiter.
The guy also left a lot of xbox 360 players high and dry because he didnt want to pay the patching fee.
@seanfoster: That'd be a nice one. With that purdy art and such it could benefit from a nice boost in resolution.
I am all over that mythical Vita version.
