Overview
Yu-Gi-Oh! Millennium Duels is a trading card game developed by Other Ocean Interactive and published by Konami Digital Entertainment for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 platforms.
Gameplay
When starting the game for the first time players will be greeted by IN4-M8 which is a robotic Virtual Duel Simulator. The player will then be asked to choose an avatar image. At this point IN4-M8 will explain that in order to unlock more cards, the opponents must be defeated and offers to train the player with a tutorial.
Once starting the game there are four Yu-Gi-Oh! series to play through. The series are the original Yu-Gi-Oh!, Yu-Gi-Oh! GX, Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's, and finally Yu-Gi-Oh! ZEXAL. Each series has multiple "towers" which are a series of matches in progression to complete. Initially only the original Yu-Gi-Oh! series is unlocked with the others needing to be unlocked.
Duels
Duels are played exactly like the real life counterpart card game. This game uses the same music, sound effects, and many of the art assets as the Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's Decade Duels matches. Early duels in the game will have a restriction on the power of the cards that can be used by the player.
Data Import
When starting Yu-Gi-Oh! Millenium Duels if the player has game data from the previous game, Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's Decade Duels it can be imported. Cards the player had as well as deck recipes the player created will be imported.
