A guy from Australia spent $9,000 to get an exact replica of Kazuma Kuiryu's back tattoo. That's fucking insane and most likely reeeeeally painful. I also remember Brad saying something about it being bad for your kidneys. "
The only risk with a tattoo is if the tools are not sterilized. Other wise they are safe.

I have the Oblivion symbol on my shoulder. It took about an hour. Chances are it hurt like hell and many sessions where done.

It seems odd to me to spend that much when you're going to change the color of the dragon.  Probably didn't have much choice, ink color or hue of skin.

He didn't pay it himself. Sega did.

@The_Laughing_Man: japanese tattoos actually prevents the skin from being able to release toxins normally, so people who have them often experience some health problems as a result.

I think that's either meant to be the tattoo artist's name, or the person's name

Well, I don't think you have to be a fan of the game to be at least somewhat impressed by said tattoo.

It's so much better than the guy who had his entire body covered in mashed up Julia Robert tattoos. Or anyone who put some lame Sephiroth tattoo on their back.

From what I remember the guy who had the tattoo done had the characters changed from Japanese to Korean. I suppose if that distances the fact it's from a game, it might be worthwhile to stop people asking him or whatever.

In any case, that tattoo is pretty amazing. It looks very like the tattoo shown in the game, but it looks good. Most people will not see the link between it and the game, but it fits so well with the fact he's an MMA trainer, and the character in the game kicks quite a lot of ass as well. I can see why the tattoo was so expensive, but I suppose it was worth it considering it was free. It might have hurt a ton, but the guy is going to be quite unique by sporting it.
