One of the two major factions in World of Warcraft the other being their enemy, the Horde.
Launched by Blizzard in 1997, this service provides a solid online foundation to Blizzard's franchises such as the Diablo, StarCraft and WarCraft series. As a constantly evolving service, a new version, Battle.net 2.0, was released in 2010 with the release of Starcraft 2.
In the lore of the Warcraft games the Blood Elves are of one the races of the Horde. They are composed of former high elves who renamed themselves in honor of their people, who were killed during the siege of Quel'Thalas by the Scourge, during the Third War.
Classes are different archetypes and playstyles that players can choose to play their game with.
The draenei are a race of uncorrupted eredar that appear in the Warcraft universe. They are a playable race in World of Warcraft as part of the Alliance in the Burning Crusade expansion.
Druids were pre-Christian priests in Celtic culture and feature prominently in Irish mythology. In games they are generally nature-based healers and spellcasters.
Carefully exploring a large, labyrinthine area full of enemies (i.e., a dungeon) in the hopes of finding treasure, leveling up, or completing a specific task. Having their roots in tabletop games, video game dungeon crawls are found almost exclusively in RPGs.
Dwarves are a short, stout race that appear in any number of fantasy games and stories. They are almost always depicted as short with bushy beards similar to vikings. They can also be identified by their love for ale and gold. Other common trends for Fantasy Dwarves include being proud warriors, favoring axes as their weapon of choice, and being gruff sticklers for tradition and honor.
Elves are a race found in a lot of games based on a fantasy setting. They are recognizable by their elongated ears and often live much longer than humans. Some are even immortal. There are many variations of Elves.
An industry game design convention that's appeared in many games over the years. The fetch quest involves sending the player out to collect a certain number of items, and return them to complete the quest. A staple of the RPG and Adventure game genre.
A gaming genre of its own, but also frequently featured as a mini-game in other titles, especially RPGs.
Women in Refrigerators (or "Fridging" for short) is an unfortunately popular plot device in storytelling where female characters are killed off or brutally harmed for the sole purpose of having an impact on a male character. The term was coined by comic book writer Gail Simone.

AKA dreadlords are strategic and cunning demons who were recruited to the Burning Legion. They are responsible for diplomatic relations and are also well versed as tacticians for the battlefield.
Never Ending Games is a self-explanatory concept in which a game is unbeatable and never ends, due either to the game having no true ending or because the game is not saved (or truly continued) after the last section of the game.
AKA the kaldorei "Children of the Stars" in Darnassian are an ancient race. Creators of a unique and magically advanced civilization.
Ogres are large, grotesque, barbaric humanoid creatures. They are generally not very intelligent, but make up for that with their unmatched strength used to crush and maim their foes.
