The guy from the Sony Blog, Ray I believe, has said in the comments that he included the Jeff cameo because he is a fan of Giant Bomb.

I've already pre-ordered a NGP/PS Vita, i was confident about the games and the line-up for the launch titles since the announcement. I'm freakin hyped! 

The NGP/Vita still has to prove itself to me as a portable device that's worth taking around with me.

I had no idea people still cared about Wipeout. I stopped caring at Wip3out. 
 
EDIT: Looking at the cover art it seems it is simply Wipeout 3 in the US, but it was Wip3out in EU. 

And that is what darker and grittier is supposed to be.

the more I think about it, the more I like the changes they made from Wipeout HD on this new future past to Wipeout. But I'm not sure about the textures on such a small screen compared to the Wipeout HD stylized design.

The NGP actually looks great! Be perfect for gamers going overseas as you don't require a TV or large room to play current gen games, a little less home sickness.

I'd like to like this for some reason, but I find it hard to see the sustained appeal of racing a ship down a tunnel for hours to techno music.  I dunno...

Cool, I've never been a big fan of the Wipeout series, it always seemed more suited to portable gaming IMO

With respect to CrossPlay. Sony just emailed me telling me that it will not be possible for gamers to voice chat between VIta and PS3 systems when gaming together online. Is this not the dumbest surprise yet to come from the Vita system?? I am shocked that they said so, and I'm hoping that the customer service rep simply didn't know what they were talking about...
