Using the Recipe Maker Mechanic
In traditional crafting games like Minecraft players craft Items based on premade Recipes by the game developers. Werewolf Hunter X has unlocked the Recipe Making mechanic so that the players can make these Recipes themselves. The Recipe Maker can be accessed in the Recipe Book.
Making a Recipe for an Item can be a confusing process, so here is a quick and precise summary of the steps involved in the process.
How to Make a Recipe:
1. Ingredients All Items need materials to be crafted. These materials are referred to as Ingredients when in the scope of a Recipe. In Step 1 the player will pick the Ingredients that will be needed to create a recipe.
2. Shapes This is mainly a cosmetic thing that will determine how the Item looks when created, like the end of a sword is pointy, but there are advance shapes like Fire that, when the Item is created, gives off heat and light. In Step 2 the player will choose shapes for the Ingredients.
3. Grid When crafting Items players typically place Ingredients on a Grid. The specific order those Ingredients are placed on the Grid determines what Item the player is creating. In Step 3 the player will define this Grid.
4. Design In Step 4 the player will specify where the Item will equip (either on the player somewhere, for example: right hand, head, feet, or Non-Accessory which doesn't attach to the player at all and instead is meant to be independently placed in the world). The player will also decide the size of the Item and fine tune where it will sit once equipped.
5. Review In Step 5 the player will review and finalize the Recipe. This will involve giving the Item a name, providing a description, and viewing the stats of the Item that will be created from the Recipe, for example: weight, speed, damage, and durability.
Once the Recipe has been created the player can then make as many copies of the Item as they desire, provided they have the Ingredients. To view a Recipe after making it the player can access the Recipe Book by either pressing E (X on an XBOX controller) or by left clicking once on the Recipe Book icon in the upper right of the screen.
