The Council Of The Unseen - an organisation dedicated to world domination, is all but destroyed by the protagonist, leaving two survivors: The megalomaniacal, kleptomaniac and cake mix loving Grendel Jinx and her much put-upon assistant/receptionist, Katherine.
Initially wanting revenge, her plans change when the protagonist accidentally reveals that he is going on holiday. Plans further change when she finds out where he is going, rekindling memories of a mission she had to abandon a few years prior.
Modifying the protagonists holiday, she plans to use him to finally complete her mission.
Katherine, meanwhile, plans to extract revenge on Grendel, for all the work she has had to do without any help - or pay...
