Wario is Mario's rival and doppelganger; a crude garlic-loving brute with an obsession with treasure. Wario's name is a portmanteau of the word "warui" ('bad' in Japanese) "Mario".
I don't know what the process is for submitting blogs at VRV but they've had some very interesting ones recently. This one also comes with some cartoons from the great Matt Lubchansky.
