Uhm, can I make a complaint about how this is a spoiler, or this being too dick-ish? I'm picking up the game later this week and have been trying to avoid spoiling the end boss (if only because of the hype) with success, until now.

Take a chill pill. I was just messin'. Defensive much? I articulate that fighting games are a roster of characters that use narrowly defined set of moves and tactics with various visual backdrops that normally have no effect on gameplay. I find them to be annoying because to be good, you have to use a Star Craft type "playing the game exactly like this" to do well, vs being able to come up with your own tactics on the fly.

He should be a lot bigger...but they had to de strength a lot of characters for this game. 
Like with the Hulk or Dante and so on.

lol there is no one set way to play a fighting game at all let alone "well". The only sure fire way to be "good" in a game like this is to adapt to what you're opponent does. Anything else related to being good is merely playing the character you want, finding out their strengths and weaknesses, and learning more about how the game's engine works as you play it. Obviously things like spacing, combos, and mix-ups are part of playing a fighter, but you learn as you go.

Damn this game has some nasty graphics , what a way to make something ugly. Really why didnt they went for sprites or something better looking as in SFIV or other 3D fighters.

@wewantsthering: That applies to pretty much any competitive game, though. There's an "optimal" way to play most anything, from RTS to chess to shooters. Are you really going to claim that the best Call of Duty players don't use a number of universal tactics? 
 
Hell, at least with a fighting game, the character(s) you choose has/have an impact on your strategy.

O_O you've got to be kidding. This game makes SFIV and other 3D based fighting games look like trash. Not to say they look bad, but this game is so far ahead of SFIV, VF5, and even Tekken 6.

@Kiori_Hayabusa: That is true on a basic level, but the tactics in a fighting game are made even more linear because you are only moving along one to two axis, thus limiting possible choices. Counter Strike is also like that even though it is 3D. :-) I just don't like super linear multiplayer games.

As a comic book geek, I can tell you: Galactus can appear in many different forms, and in fact he often takes on the form of the "destroyer" of whatever planet he's devouring. We see at one point when he becomes a kind of snake-like being as he devours an alien world. 
SO theoretically if he wanted to give "Earth's champions" a shot at defeating him, he could become smaller to accommodate their wish to fight him. Why? He gets bored...

@wewantsthering: Again, a misunderstanding of the mechanics behind it. BECAUSE the game is only on two axes, the complexity of movement and ability along those axes is multiplied. Instead of using up and down to move through the world and relegating a button each to jump and crouch, you have two buttons on the controller freed up for other actions. 
 
Movement is, by far, the most complex and intriguing part of fighting games. Position is everything and, unlike in a shooter where position is a matter of placement, here it's a matter of constant motion and reaction on a split-second level. If anything, it's more complex, and asking someone to do it in 3D with a controller alone would be pure insanity (though it HAS been tried before... With not-so-engaging results).

The fact that you can think you can fathom all the thing possible in fighting game because it's 2D or think it's too linear is ridiculous. People still discovered things about games like Marvel vs. Capcom 2 and Street Fighter IIi: 3rd Strike many years after release.
