God I love Vinny.

Please spin this off into its own separate feature. Clearly a ton of people want you to play it to completion, but for those of us that don't, it's kind of defeating the purpose of the weekly votes.

I didn't even bother putting my suggestions in because I knew the cult of Strange was just going to continue to demand you play it every single week.

About to start the last episode. This game is incredible. Can't wait to see what these guys think of it.

Is the video broken for anyone else past like 4 minutes?

I skipped out on this stream because this game interests me, but I am unsure if I want to buy it.

I was super not feeling the first episode because of the teenaged BS and weird slang (also I want to stab that fucking prof right in his goddamn teeth), so will the rest of this episodes do anything for me? It just felt so try-hard and out of touch, but so many people are raving that it has me curious.

HD is broken for me - HTML5 and Streaming.

I semi-understand your frustration. I mean, I am part of the group that wants them to play the game to completion because I honestly think this game is one of the best of the year. But this feature is about people voting what they want to see, and people clearly want to see more of Life is Strange

Kinda feel bad for the guys in this playthrough, I don't think they were prepared for where this game goes after the "fairly" jovial first 3/4 of episode 1 (Vinny seems to go into dad-mode a bunch this time). It was entertaining and it was nice to see them go through the episode and hope they feel like continuing.

And I get that, but it completely sabotages the concept from the start. There is a lot of interesting stuff they could do as a one-off that is never going to get touched because they're going to spend weeks and weeks on LiS and then probably get cornered into doing another full playthrough of whatever the next popular adventure game is in the current zeitgeist.

I was planning on replaying this game myself but I really don't have the strength to go through all of that again, I'll watch you guys play it instead if you keep going.

@xerseslives: agreed, though i wish they'd also cool it for a bit with the full game playthroughs.

It's a tough situation. The people who vote for a game will probably want them to keep playing said game, so we would probably end up in this situation with every game that gets picked. I think the gang just happen to really want to keep playing this, if they didn't they'd say "we're gonna play a different game so vote for something else". Adding another stream would probably just mean two games people will want them to play to completion.

It sounds like the exact purpose of voting is to determine which game people want to see played the most. What a weird way to look at it! But it's a "cult" because they don't want to watch your game? So sad.

I hope you guys play this to completion. There are moments in later episodes that will certainly illicit amazing reactions.

It defeats the purpose of a weekly vote if the result feels predetermined, yes. Especially if people feel actively discouraged from voting for anything else because the result clearly won't be different until they finish LiS.

And to act like this game doesn't have an extremely passionate (often to the point of overbearing) fan base is naive.

So save the misguided pity.

This game will end... they only have a finite amount of time.

Life is Strange is a cool game and all. But I should probably finish my playthrough before watching this one.

I wasn't telling them to stop playing it, since obviously people want them to.

Was just suggesting they make it the next Playdate or something to free this feature up to some more variety week to week.

Yeah, the download is fucked for me, doesn't play anything. Also streaming on auto plays for a couple of seconds and then black screen.

Yeah idk about this feature... It'll undoubtedly cause frustration from those who are invested in their playthrough of a game and will be properly gutted if it eventually gets voted out. Switching games halfway through is not cool.

Reminds me of when I used to watch Let's Plays on Youtube, and the Youtuber would suddenly stop continuing a series I was watching because it was slightly less popular than his other Let's Plays, and as a viewer it's like wtf, I've spend hours watching this and it's just cut prematurely out of nowhere?!

Perhaps in future have it so it's never the same game twice in a row? And make it more about one off shows voted on by us.

The overbearing fan base for this game is so strong and feel such a huge need where they just have to tell how much they like it and how much they want to force GBE to play it because it's supposed to be a GOTY (lol) that all that voting for what to play on this show just doesn't even matter anymore. There's A LOT of people who dislike this game or don't want them to play it that don't even say anything anymore because they know they won't get noticed.
GBE could just switch this to a "Playdate" like Contradiction and Until Dawn and keep the original purpose of this show. When "Choose Our Own Adventure!" was announced, I saw it as some kind of smaller UPF mixed with a live Quick Look, where they would play a different random game selected by the users on each episode, I think something like that would be way better.

Wow, this is getting pretty dark, like I knew from the QL there was the potential for some serious stuff but there was a lot of goofiness to balance things out. This week got pretty heavy. I basically shared all of Vinny's reactions here
