The hometown of the main characters, Issac, Garet, Jenna, Felix, and Alex; the place Vale is the first level in the game Golden Sun the player explores. Vale is also the location of The Wise One who guards over Alchemy's Seal within Mount Aleph(and the one who sends Issac on the mission to save the world). A funny trick in the first game is that when the Elder asks you to go try and save the Elemental Lighthouses, the player has a choice whether to go on the adventure or not. If the player chooses no, then the game shows the place in ruins saying that there wasn't anyone to save the Elemental Lighthouses and the world, which after stating will show a "Game Over" screen.
