21st Gift from my dead Grandfather,

On the Birthday scale your 21st is a biggie, It's considered the time when you transcend to adulthood, And instead of a ritual where your elders make you walk through fire or do some sort of feat that proves you have susceeded, In New Zealand You consume a Yard Glass! 
 
Ahh, 21 Years Old,  
Anyway, when I was eight years old, My Grandfather passed away, I was as close to my Grandfather as an eight year old boy could be, He was a great man, Served in WW2 Became a Fire Fighter, Butcher, and Many people wanted him to run for Mayor, He was a natural Leader, and inspiring figure who showed respect and earned it, He had a certain powerful demeanour that you could feel when you met him, I will always remember the short time that I had with My Grandfather, And I will always respect him. 
 
For my 21st birthday My grandmother fulfilled my grandfathers will and gave me his Māori Pounamu (Greenstone or Jade) that was given to him by a Māori leader, Pounamu is considered Taonga (a treasure),  
Pounamu can only be given because it is believed that they contain their own Mana (spirit) it's a Heirloom that I will always treasure and it is a link to my grandfather,
