Some stuff I've done this week. You guys might recognize a certain teddy bear of a man in my new tumblr header. Below that are some sketches of Moon Bear, a character I'm working on. He is a bear obsessed with The Moon.

Finally I've finished a project I've wanted to see IRL for about two months. Here are a handful of pics: =D

I missed Giant Bomb. I'm gonna try to be active here again because living without this place for two years has taken one hell of a toll on me. I used to do toons for you guys and now that I have an iPad I can draw more. If you're reading this I'm taking requests. I'll do the ones I like. :) - Kat

http://turbotoaster.tumblr.com/post/26001776027/farewell-kind-of The good news is the goof train won't stop until I'm dead, so follow @TurboToaster for all future materials! Lotsa hugs and warm feelin's from me to you always. - Kat Smith

Hey guys, I had this little ditty drafted up before the CBSi thing. I wanted to share it with you for a larf. :) - Kat https://twitter.com/#!/TurboToaster

I whipped this up in about 20 minutes (I currently hold the world record for time in whipping this up). Not exactly sure whats going on, maybe he's getting hit in the head and will topple into the lava pit or maybe he's sturdy like a brick and will only suffer a mighty swelling.

I am so proud of this. I hope Ri-Ri likes it oh god. Trust me, this ain't supposed to be perfect as it was one of the first sketches. Might do more if some ideas hit me. =B

Sorry for cluttering up the Off Topic boards, the only reason I put this here is I've been asked many a time where people can find more work from me. It's just easier to address it this way instead of on an individual basis. I've updated my little bio section to include this info, but I'll put it here too for actualities sake. And so the wells and founts sprung forth; bountiful with shovel-ware, and it was cheap. Lo, Miyomoto warned, "Quality over quantity; heed this warning!" but the naive and desperate Nintendo had already closed it's ears and mind to the sentiment. Soon, a great sea had erupted from bargain bins nation-wide. Returns not meeting expenses. Nintendo was drowning! Cooking trainers....Pedometers....O w...

FIN. Har har hoorf. Sketch Time!: Dialog and stuff will be added when it's inked and coloured. Then it will make more sense! But not much more, sadly.

I was bored and thus signed in to Facebook on the 360 for the first (and probably last) time. But while there I found the album I uploaded of the time I spent in Ontario this past April/May. I love my friends, and here are some choice moments I still laugh at. We had Nanaimo Bar mix, but no baking pan. Solution: Line a shoebox with foil. They tasted fine. I only ate one though for hopefully obv...

Bitches love books about strapping young men taking care of babies! Bought this as a joke gift, I would rather have been forced to buy a box of condoms or something. It's been almost a month so PODCAST TIME! Also, trust me I know how I'm scum when it comes to the transition between song and talking. I'm no professional here! http://wootales.com/podcasts/podcast_2.mp3 ***I should mention that th...

Made this just now as a spur-of-the-moment thing. Hope you guys enjoy it. (Large Version: http://wootales.com/giantbomb/gbdesktop.png ) =B

I rather enjoyed the questions you guys put to me for the last one, so again go nuts and ask whatever. I want to make the next one longer though because, as nervous as I was, I still had fun! (Putting this on the forums just in case some people missed the last one). Whee ^_^

Original Blog thang this is in reference to: http://www.giantbomb.com/profile/turbo_toaster/ask-kat-goddamned-whatever/30-34360/ Marvel at Kat's inability to articulate basic thoughts into words! Also, she answers questions and most importantly does not refer to herself in the third person. http://wootales.com/podcasts/podcast_1.mp3

Left the green screen as-is until I settle on something. It's entirely exploitable if you guys want the template ( I have a fairly gigantic version of this, by the way). For some reason I imagine him singing, "Can I Borrow a Feeling?" because I'm a terrible Simpsons nerd. - Kat

I feel like podcasting again sometime soon and I never know what to talk about since getting a friend to join me is kind of a pain the butt. Answering questions seems like a viable formula so ask away. Or not, that's cool too. =B

My art style seems to be evolving by the day, probably because I draw about 90% more in a week now than I did when I first started this art blog. Hopefully you guys still dig it. Anyway here's the sketch of Karaoke Brad as it is now. Apologies to Brad in advance. Still thinking on a background. There are so many silly possibilities that I can't focus on one XD

I've had my nose to the grindstone for the past couple of weeks with work so my community artin' has been extra slow. I also lost some work I did of Ryan which made it even more difficult to chug along with it. I was determined to finish it today, my apologies for the tardiness: The large version of this is up on my Giant Bomb art page under Ryan's name: http://wootales.com/gbart.html

Sketched this to the tune of the battle music (a lot of the strokes went with the music as I sketched). I rarely draw environments of any kind so this was a fun break.

So I scored a sweet jumpsuit from a thrift store for six dollarie-doos and some yellow paint. I'm working on it right now and will upload pics as I finish the stages. Here are the first 3: Step One: I make stencils with the "Capital Wasteland" font I found on that wonderful invention that are the Intertubes. The edges are a little raggy but that will be fixed by the end. Step Two: I continue pa...

A few people asked me if I could put all of my GB art in one place for ease of viewing so after getting permission I constructed a bare-bones page for them all. I'm still fiddling with the layout but I wanted to get the finished pictures up while I have some down time. This week has been hectic so I haven't been able to get Ryan started just yet. Anyway, here you go! http://wootales.com/gbart.h...

Here's my first sketch, I'll probably stick with it. Needless to say there's a lot of refining that needs to be done. I know a lot of people wanted me to draw him ripping out Owe Boll's heart but I wanted something a bit simpler than that for now.

A break from art and video game-related stuff. I worked at a pet store for awhile as a Fish and Reptile Tech, I loved my job before the company let sick reptiles die knowing long beforehand they had time to get them vet-checked so I quit. Anyway, here's my tiny collection so far. This is Avarus, my Citrus-Sandfire Bearded Dragon. A great beginner reptile but they're great pets on the whole. She...

Inks and flat colours: ______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Well it's Saturday so I had to hurriedly clean up the pencils for inking today. I have a friend flying in from the Homeland this Tuesday which means I need today to frantically clean my entire apartment. I might Livestream, I might not. Either way, I'm ea...

The Next episode of "Saturday Morning Cartoons" starts Sept. 26th at 10 am Pacific Time here: http://www.livestream.com/turbotoastercartoons New Sketch: It's a story about losing something important in your life, and the little reminders that make you yearn for days past. I'm getting Jeff in this next, ya'll. As a side note, anyone else have a coffee maker that sounds like a 50 year old man wit...

Inked and coloured: Second round of sketch work : I've changed the name of my art blog, I think it's kinda cute. So I've decided to start the series of Staffer drawings with Dave. First up are some thumbnail sketches:

I'm up for anything but keep in mind I need to keep my precious wrists from shattering so I'm going to do the requests I see the most potential in. EDIT: Keep it GB related! *Opens ye olde floodgates* :D

I wish I knew that you couldn't edit the title of blogs once you post them >_ I know he's a lot less badass than most would like but for some reason I just couldn't shake the happy demeanor. Ah well! It's just for fun so who cares, lol. And the final version. Hoo-boy, it's off to bed for me. Until next time, peace out!

I'm hopelessly addicted to Cartooning, so my blogs here on Giant Bomb will probably consist mostly of sketches and other artwork pertaining to games or the site itself. My first entry shall be the rough sketch of ye olde Luchadeer! Keep in mind this isn't the final line work by any means. And here's the next phase in the line work. Going to ink this in Photoshop and clean it up a bit, fix the e...

Absolutely. Though the only thing I don't like about the disc-to-download transition is you don't have anything tangible to show for your money (I like having the manuals, they're nice to flip through). I imagine from the company's standpoint it cuts production costs way down and thus makes it cheaper for us.
