So what have I been playing? I'm glad you asked.

I'm not much of an RTS player. In fact, I've never really touched the genre. The constant resource gathering, planning, building and micro/macro managing just never really struck me as something I'd want to do for - well, you know, fun. However, Starcraft II is different. After hearing my friend talk so much about it, I finally decided to head over to his house and check out what was so great. I played the first few missions, and let me tell you - I was hooked. I haven't played any since then (Just bought my copy a few nights ago, it's gonna be played tonight), but I really want to get back into it.

So, here's the full list:

  • Starcraft II
  • MMBN 1, 2
  • Team Fortress 2
  • Scott Pilgrim vs The World: The Game
  • Naruto: Ultimate Ninja Storm
  • BlazBlue: Continuum Shift
  • Red Dead Redemption

...and some Portal Mods/Map packs:

  • Factum Solus
  • Portal Memories
  • CHRONOPORT (GAH)

I've already told you about SC2, so let's move on to the next one. "Battle Network, again?" you say, "I thought you were done with that!" Well, nope, I beat one (again) and I'm playing through 2 (again). I don't know why, so don't ask.

Team Fortress 2 continues to be awesome to play with friends, and I'm having a blast with Scott Pilgrim. The soundtrack in particular is incredible - I'm always down for some Anamanaguchi. The actual game is full of insane references and really cool parts, in general. So that's awesome.

Ultimate Ninja Storm continues to be a great party game (I'm not the biggest Naruto fan, but I love the game), and I'm having a lot of fun playing that multiplayer. I can't wait until 2 comes out. Continuum Shift, on the other hand, I haven't spent much time with. It seems awesome, and I want to sit down some time and play through the story. That, and get some practice with the newer characters.

Also, Red Dead Redemption. That game is fun, too.

The Portal Mods are fun to play until Portal 2 comes out next February, and I recommend you check out Factum Solus if you're into that kind of stuff. The imitation GLaDOS voice may not be the best, but the levels are fun. Don't try CHRONOPORT unless you like feeling very, very stupid.

So that's it! What have you been playing?

(I hope nobody's getting annoyed that I'm attaching these to the Off-Topic forum. If I'm doing something wrong, please tell me!)
