Maybe I should use this for something...

You know, for someone who might want to get into games, perhaps I should embrace it and actually INVOLVE myself in it. And what better way to start than with GiantBomb dot com. It's a website, about video games! *and making characters have enough happening in the background
*when you see them later one things have changed
*the sense of length adds to the epicness
*the variety of the locations
*the art style varies slightly
*like the area concepts are completely different
*and colour choices differ
*which makes you feel like youve actually gone somewhere else far away
*ive played this game enough times to understand these things about it now
*its like english class
*you read the book so many damn times that you know everything
Cyk says:
*....
*man you have a hard on for this game
Joking aside; he does raise some interesting points. What really sets one game from other ones though, making it the best game someone has ever played? This is probably one of the most controversial questions between us gamers. You can tell, listening to the bombcast, even the crew of Giantbomb can't decide over what is great and what isn't. If asked to explain WHY they think a game is great, there are often moments where "they can't explain", or "it just is". They're right.
There are plenty of games that attempt to mimic others, perhaps to ride on the wave that has caused tons of gamers to flock to a certain game, but they can't do it. Modern Warfare 2, for example, as much as other shooters aim to be that "realistic modern shooter"; the number of players that play MW2 compared to something like BC2 can't be compared. MMOs like WoW to...well...any other MMO really, has the same result. But there are definitely FLAWS within these two games, but why are they seen as the "best" games?(or at least the consensus is they are)
It really is luck of the draw when it comes to games. I guess that's why developers can be so unstable and close down here and there. You either hit, or you don't. Tis a shame really.
