This was going to be my very long winded review of Black Mesa but GB seems to not be allowing review posts for the game for some reason so eh, it'll have to be a blog post instead. *cough* anyway... I never played the original Half Life but I always planned to some day, such is the games legacy and reputation it always seemed like one of those "you have to experience this" kind of releases for...

I've personally tried to not comment on this entire thing too much myself as I just think its too much of a giant mess with too many people saying and thinking just the worst things no matter where they stand on whatever subject one is specifically discussing around all this. And that's ultimately the worst aspect is that its so rarely even a civil mature discussion, its an endless shit flingin...

Skullgirls Good 2D fighters that aren't 60 bucks and don't feel like they're clinging to ancient outdated design mentalities are extremely rare so indi fighter Skullgirls is one of kind as far as I'm concerned and I can not wait to play it. Never mind the fact it's an all female cast fighter, which is fucking awesome in of itself, everything about it screams must play to me from the art directi...

Biggest PC Version Fuckup: Rage Utterly incredible that the company who invented the PC first person shooter managed to at last ship a game on PC that was completely unplayable upon release and the subsequent "consolification" managed to make it that much worse an experience. The days of Id being a studio to care about seem to have passed unless Doom 4 manages to be incredible, and PC centric....

I was inspired by Sarumarines awesome blog post and decided to do something similar. And by similar I mean totally rip-off his layout but come up with my own categories. Most Addictive Co-op Game Mode: Last Stand - Dawn of War: Retribution Dawn of War: Retribution's Last Stand, a mode carried over from Dawn of War 2 and Chaos Rising respectively became one of my biggest game addictions this yea...

Because I didn't waste enough of my time doing this kinda stuff already :P Darn you Giant Bomb, but also omfg so awesome.

I reviewed Darksiders. http://www.giantbomb.com/darksiders/61-20991/user_reviews/?review=12433 Jist of my review: incredibly awesome game with a handful of flaws. I reviewed the PS3 version.

I'm currently writing a review for Darksiders that I will be posting here on GB when its finished. Its a game I feel I must voice my in-depth opinion of.

Just saw Avatar and man, that was one hell of a movie. I thought it was going to be another 'all effects and nothing else' but I was dead wrong. I dont think I have ever gone to see a movie and actually ended up caring more about the cgi models than the people until now. The most amazing thing is that the vast majority of it is cgi but you never really notice it like you do in other movies beca...

Well the year isn't far from over, I've finished my Best of 2009 list for the gb awards and am almost done voting on the gamespot 2009 awards . Overall both these tasks have made me realize how few games came out this year I would actually put on a top 10 list for 09. Honestly their were only four really for me. Batman, Dawn of War 2, Dragon Age and Uncharted 2 all for pretty much the same reas...

Dragon Age: Origins, Tekken 6 and Ratchet and Clank: A Crack in Time all release next week. I'm still enjoying Uncharted 2 alot but I think its magic will be lost on me after my second play through is done. Don't get me wrong, its an incredible game but for some reason its just not fun enough to make me want to replay it many times over like I usually do with games I really like. That's probabl...

For almost two weeks now giantbombs videos have either not been loading for me or have begun streaming only to cease streaming at some point before finishing. The thing is I haven't the foggiest idea why this is happening. Every other website I visit is not having this problem, my video drivers, windows drivers, flash player and firefox are all updated to their most recent versions and my inter...

So I've been looking at both Infamous and Prototype and trying to understand why these games aren't grabbing me despite the fact they represent a genre I really am genuinely interested in. The genre I speak of is sandbox games, games in which visual fidelity is sacrificed for scale and quantity. Going over this in my head over and over I think I have nailed exactly what my issues are with these...

I cant really think of anything I out right dislike about E3, this years was the best its ever been in my opinion, the coverage was incredible, the podcasts hilarious and interesting and the game demos jaw dropping. Its every thing it needs to be and more now, the only thing that would make it better is if I got to go see it all in person.
