Quick Blog: Breaking News! I actually play my Nintendo Wii.

I hope you are all healthy and well in these tough and despressing times. Well I have News worthy of any local News 24 Channel to broadcast, for I have actually turned my Nintendo Wii console on for the first time in around four to five months. It's indeed big news and worthy of my discussing the matter I think. As many of you might know, I have been Mr Anti-Wii in the last few months for many reasons that I have gone over again and again in other articles but recently a good friend of mine picked up his own Nintendo Wii and he wanted a bash at some Super Smash Bros. Brawl. Now I shall admit to having only played Brawl once online and it was a sluggish and laggy experience but I was willing to give it ago. This meant turning on my Nintendo Wii again and I'm even sure it cough up a little dust from it's Disc Tray as I turned it on. I will admit to actually having a lot of fun online with my friend and we even recorded our matches which  meant that we were able to capture some great moment we had playing in some top brawls. Sadly we were forced to play the A.I  for most of the time (although the A.I can provide a good challenge when it wants to) partly because we don't know many Wii Owners, most friends of mine don't actually even own Nintendo's little white box and there mostly Xbox 360 gamers. This means we are now looking for some fellow fun Brawl players to play against in the coming weeks. But I'll get to that later on. At the moment I'm currently finding myself unlocking all the characters again in Brawl, this is down to the fact that I completed the North American version of the game when it was released but it doesn't seem to work wth the FreeLoader anymore so was forced to purchase the PAL Version when that finally saw release months after. So as I write I'm currently busy trying to get all the characters so I have a varied selection of brawlers to choose from. There is simply no doubting that Brawl is the best game on the Wii by far, it is one of those odd sorts of games that you need to play to truly appriate but even with Brawl I have found myself less and less interested in what the Wii as to offer me as a gamer. It even got to a point recently that I was on the verge of selling it to a friend but it was actually the up and coming release of Broken Sword: The Shadow of the Templars Directors Cut that changed my mind. Fashion: Wario!

So both myself and my mate Mike (DeadlyPain) are looking for some gamers who just want to have a bash on brawl. We aren't looking for super serious over the top Brawl players (and I know there about), just players who want to have a laugh while we beat the hell out of each other. I to have been looking to add to my brawl friends list and have been using the 'New Official Friends Code' Thread to do so. I'm still not totally sure how the whole friends code thing works, I'm not sure if I need to get the other player to add me aswell as myself adding him, it's a confusing and stupid process that Nintendo did really screw up on and are surely to ashamed to change it now. But if your interested then please add your code in the comments and I'll see about adding you for some online play sometime in the near future. Mike also as a TeamSpeak Server running which we have been using to speak to each other online and I believe Mike would like folks to use it if they wish, but you'd be better asking him about that just get in touch with him if your interested. As you will probably be able to tell from the Video below, we do have a lot of fun playing and it as been fun even if the console as yet to win me over again, I still think it's to much of a gimmick and isn't reaching it's full potential. Not to mention the endless list of crappy poor developed games hitting Nintendo's system recently. I know a lot of folks love it to death, but I shan't deny my anger at some of the garbage I see when I go to my local supermarket. Every console have there bad games, but the Wii just seems to have so many and I'm kind of surprised in Nintendo allowing it to happen. But all this is for discussion in another thread and I'm not in the mood to go on about it now. 

So that's it really, below is Part One of some of our brawls which Mike recorded and posted on YouTube. Speech was recorded using TeamSpeak I believe and I'm pretty sure we will do more in the coming weeks. There are also three other parts found on Mike's YouTube Page if your interested. Please beware that it contains some bad language so if you have sensitive ears then you have been warned. For those wondering I'm the one who sounds like a stoned University student, my voice always sounds terrible when recorded and you'll probably hardly hear me in the background. I apologise in advanced for Mike's language which was worse then I realised, but we got sucked up in the moment. To be fair Mike as said he will cut down on the swearing in future videos so it's more youth friendly, Enjoy!
