If you've read yesterday's blog post, you know that I'm here in lovely Philadelphia, PA, the birthplace of America. Today, after visiting Independence Hall and the National Constitution Center, I came to realize something; for change to happen, someone must stand up and (sometimes) fight for it. By the same token, if we remain silent, then we will not change, or the wrong kind of change will occur.
Now you're probably wondering what the hell this means in terms of video games. It's quite simple, really; basically, I've come to realize that if we want changes in the industry (i.e., we want EA to not charge for guns in Battlefield Bad Company), we must speak up. Also, if we DON'T speak up for ourselves in the general public, bozos like our good friend Jack Thompson (What up, Jack!) will have won.
Now I know I'm basically preaching to the choir, but what do you think? What is your opinion on the subject of video games and legislature (or on bad marketing strategies)? Leave your comments on the matter. I'd love to hear from you!
