In-Game Menu: On the Road Edition

Hey guys, I'm back with another edition of In-Game Menu, the dynamically-changing video gaming writer's column. Sorry for posting this late; I would've put this up yesterday (Sunday) but I was at a Bad Company/Blue Oyster Cult concert. In addition, at the moment I'm currently typing this on a laptop in a hotel room at the Homewood Suites in scenic Philadelphia, PA.

So in the interest of satisfying you, the reader (and getting to sleep......I'm beat), here is my review of this week:

• Though I'm not great at it, I've been playing tons of Geometry Wars 2 on the Xbox 360. It's amazing. What more can I say? In addition to that, I've been playing some Orange Box (HL2, TF2, Portal to be precise; haven't gotten to Ep. 1 or 2 yet), and tons of Rock Band.

• The Wii has been getting tons of playtime lately as I finally hunkered down and bought a goddamn Zapper. I really like the arcade aesthetic of Link's Crossbow Training, and I've added some of the other light gun games for the Wii to my GameFly Q. Also, I've had a resurgence in Twilight Princess and Super Smash Bros. Brawl. 
• On the DS, I've been playing Advance Wars: Dual Strike. I've never actually beaten an Advance Wars game; after awhile, I get bored, abandon the game for months on end, and when I pick it back up again I start over. Odd....

• As I said last time, Crisis Core for the PSP has arrived from GameFly, and I'm really enjoying it. I've never been a big fan of Final Fantasy, but this game may change my mind.
