MERCH!
Giant Bomb - a website about video games and the people that make them

I decided to finally test out NVIDIA's ShadowPlay recording feature as I've been looking for a solution for recording PC games at the same resolution (1080p) and framerate (30 - 60 FPS) as I am playing them with no perceptible drop in game performance and no choppiness in the video capture. I am very impressed with it. However, some games, such as Marlow Briggs and the Mask of Death (which I ju...

Charles Ripley has to reach the basement level to shut off the security system and escape the station. A fluffy Xenomorph looms near...* *The power went out in my neighborhood on November 19th, 2014. I put on a headlamp and turned on my video camera as I went downstairs to shut off our alarm system. This is the result! Props to White Fluffy Kitty for her improv skills.

This video covers the Xbox One version of the Destiny beta, starting with the very beginning and ending with the arrival at the Tower. I played the alpha on the PlayStation 4 and already knew what kind of character I wanted to create. I am playing as a human Titan. Here is the playlist that will contain all Destiny videos.

Continuing the trend of spotting drawings of video game characters every time I go to Five Guys ( Mega Man , Sonic the Hedgehog ), I saw Pac-Man at a Five Guys in Lakeland, Florida during my visit to see a friend for the Fourth of July weekend. I also like the tweaked-out duck in the middle. He's fiending hard for that burger. This Five Guys had an additional drawings board.

It was one year ago today that I received my Oculus Rift Development Kit. It was also the day that the passing of Ryan Davis was made public, so I waited until the 9th to actually start covering the device. Wait, that's wrong. I missed delivery of my Oculus Rift on the 8th due to Ryan's death and had to wait until the next day for UPS to try again. I even put a sign on the door the next morning...

In May 2011 I spotted Mega Man on the drawings board at a Five Guys in Fayetteville, NC. Two years later I returned to the same restaurant and saw that Sonic the Hedgehog had taken his place. Sonic says, "I'll chose 5 guys over any restrant." If only he was eating a chili dog. Here's a bonus Captain America that was on the same board. What are the best drawings you've seen at Five Guys? I know...

I had all my wisdom teeth removed recently. Both the procedure and the time afterward have been completely painless. I did drool blood all over myself, though. It's July 1st and I want to write something before I go to bed. The air conditioner isn't working and it's 88°F. White Fluffy Kitty has lain on the cold marble in front of the fireplace the past few hours instead of her usual spot upon m...

With a combination of GifCam , CyberLink PowerDirector, and Photoshop, I made my first gif while watching Giant Bomb's June 21st, 2013 Unprofessional Fridays show earlier this month. Vinny was playing SpyCraft: The Great Game when one of the game's characters suddenly got shot in the head in the middle of his dialogue, which caused Jeff to make a face that instantly reminded me of the "BRB Usin...

Edit: Thanks for stopping by! I'll continue the game later in the day on the 7th. Hello! Today is the 70th anniversary of D-Day (June 6th). I'm going to livestream Medal of Honor: Frontline HD (PS3) over at hitbox , and all donations for today and tomorrow will be given to the Wounded Warrior Project . This will be the first time I do commentary during a livestream, and I'm still figuring all o...

*I made this post on March 25th, when it was actually true! It was announced that Facebook bought Oculus VR today. When I did my evening check-in on Giant Bomb, I noticed something familiar about the promo shot Alex chose for his article covering the matter. Let's zoom in on that... Oh, it's me! I had a photoshoot back in September 2013 and took my Oculus Rift development kit with me to get a n...

Winner Call of Duty: Black Ops II Runners-up Adventure Time: Hey Ice King! Why’d you steal our garbage?!! Uncharted: Golden Abyss Criteria: It had to come out in 2012. I had to beat it in 2013.

I probably didn't earn as many achievements this year as I have in previous ones, but out of everything I played, The Stanley Parable had the best one: "Click on door 430 five times." If you haven't seen what happens, check out the video! What was your favorite achievement you unlocked in 2013?

I wanted to release this on November 22nd but didn't have enough time before jumping on the plane to Kansas for Thanksgiving. Perhaps one person may find it useful... perhaps. In my kitchen. Again. Exactly one week had passed since the launch of the PlayStation 4 , and once again I was at my local UPS Customer Center to pick up my Xbox One , a trick I had learned on reddit that would net me the...

I picked up my PlayStation 4 from the closest UPS Customer Center (about a 40-minute drive) right before 9 AM hit on November 15th, 2013. Thanks to an informative post on reddit , I didn't have to wait until 4 or 5 PM like I usually have to do with UPS packages. My local UPS Customer Center. Making sure my PlayStation 4 shipped OK before leaving the parking lot. On my way back home I stopped of...

Watch me get sick as I cover the Oculus Rift version of Museum of the Microstar, a narrative-driven experience made by RUST . This demo messed me up so bad that I'm still feeling off. I wanted to make another Rift video today but decided it was probably best not to. I guess I'll play Saints Row IV instead! I want to finish that up before Grand Theft Auto V comes out next week. Download the demo

As an adult, anyway. No, this trip was not influenced by Macklemore. I think. I do a lot of background acting in North Carolina (you can see me in We're the Millers, Revolution, Under the Dome, etc.), and, as a background actor, you're often expected to bring your own wardrobe. The more options you have, the better. You generally can't have anything too bright or with logos/images, and, in my c...

Take a quick ride with me as I check out Jeff Murray's latest ParrotCoaster demo using the Oculus Rift . Jeff Murray is the owner of PsychicParrot Games, who you may be most familiar with as the makers of Death Ray Manta . Shuhei Yoshida , President of Worldwide Studios for Sony Computer Entertainment , made a #DRMPSVita joke on Twitter when announcing the game was coming to the platform in the...

Edit: Looks like they made the video private for some reason! Here's a behind-the-scenes video showcasing the Revolutionary War scenes from the pilot of Fox's upcoming show, Sleepy Hollow, which I worked on. I'm the guy on the far right at the 2:06 mark. It was a fun shoot. Four days to do it all.

Lee Perry-Smith, director at Infinite-Realities , took a high-quality 3D scan his company did of Joceline Brooke-Hamilton and created a demo in Unity for viewing with the Oculus Rift . I go into detail about his company's work, do a close examination of the 3D model, and talk about the inevitable future that 3D scanning and virtual reality is headed toward. Open Broadcaster Software wasn't allo...

It's been a while since I used the Oculus Rift , so to ease myself back into things, I decided to check out the updated Tuscany demo. In the original Tuscany demo video I did , I commented on there not being sound and the water being static. The updated version of the demo addresses these issues, along with adding a lot more to the scenery in general. Butterflies! I cleaned the lenses of the Ri...

This is a highlight reel of my previous video that covered the Sixense Tuscany Demo using the Oculus Rift and Razer Hydra. Don't pump up your volume to hear me talk! My audio levels were off and I added subtitles. And I'm aware that you can't use both hands to grasp an object, but it felt wrong not to do it with the larger ones. After a small break from the Oculus Rift, I've downloaded some mor...

I put on my Oculus Rift for the first time yesterday and came away very impressed. After fiddling with the straps, I managed to get the headset on properly at the 9:10 mark. The first words out of my mouth were, "Holy shit." I then spend the rest of my time in the demo exploring virtual Tuscany and finding the best way to control everything. Watch me look like a crazy person at the 21:18 mark a...

My Oculus Rift and GoPro HERO3: White Edition arrived today. I strapped the latter to my head to do an unboxing video, but seeing as it was my first time trying to use it properly... well, things didn't go so well. You can still hear me talk, though! I am about to use the Oculus Rift for the first time and will be recording everything. Hopefully I'll do a better job in the future trying to cove...

My friend Jackie was in a music video recently (she's the second lady). I'm sharing because I actually like the song and video, though.

Back in April I mentioned I was redesigning my site. It's now far enough along that I feel comfortable releasing it to the public . It's a total conversion from Squarespace 5 to Squarespace 6, and I moved over everything individually as opposed to using the import feature to make sure everything is as optimized as possible. There are many changes, but very few people will know what they are as...

User Typographenia made a sendoff video for Patrick Klepek 's move to Chicago, using Green Day 's "Good Riddance (Time of Your Life)" as the song. User TruthTellah then took the original video footage and changed the song to Russell Watson's "Where My Heart Will Take Me". This gave me the inspiration to make my own version of the video. I changed the song and added some stuff at the end. Patric...

This is my first game of Grifball in Halo 4 . I was playing with my friend Jarvis and testing my Elgato Game Capture HD. I was caught off guard by the new sound effects and the round not ending when someone scores! I still got mad Grifball skillz.

Further testing my Elgato Game Capture HD, I played Halo 4 : Spartan Ops with my friend Jarvis. This is Chapter 6: Scattered, Episode 1: Escape Plan. I've become incredibly bored by Halo 4 for some reason. I'm not interested in continuing Spartan Ops at all, and my general apathy results in a lot of sloppiness and death. Maybe I should put it on Easy and just rush through it all, as I am intere...

Testing out my Elgato Game Capture HD some more, I played a multiplayer match of Halo 4 for the first time since 2012. I was playing with my friend Jarvis on Big Team Infinity Slayer on Ragnarok. I have to say, for someone who hadn't played in so long, I didn't do too bad!

This is my entire playthrough of Frog Fractions ( http://twinbeard.com/frog-fractions ). I'm really just uploading this for myself and think that you should just play the game instead of watching this video. Yeah, don't watch this video. This footage is taken from a livestream I did over on Twitch.tv .

This is the first video I made using my new Elgato Game Capture HD. It's a video of me playing level 9 (The Electric Clyde) of Cloning Clyde on the Xbox 360 . It had been years since I last played it, hence why it took me so long to complete the level.

This is the playlist that contains my entire playthrough of BioShock Infinite on the PC . Well, except for the first three hours, as there was some kind of error with Open Broadcaster Software I wasn't aware of at the time. I was simultaneously streaming my playthrough on Twitch and finished the game at 12:01 AM on March 29th, 2013.

The biggest piece of DLC for Sleeping Dogs , Year of the Snake is story DLC that focuses on a group of cultists who believe the world will end with the coming of the Chinese New Year. Instead of keeping to themselves, however, the cultists resort to committing terrorism around Hong Kong, and it's up to Wei Shen to stop them.

Wheels of Fury contains five missions where you exclusively use the DZS-90, a supercar built by Dr. Tang that is upgraded after each mission you complete. Afterwards, you can replay any of the main missions, or partake in the side missions where you see how many enemies you can stop with the car's built-in turrets before time runs out. Of course, you could opt to do neither and just go around d...

Nightmare in North Point is horror-themed story DLC released on October 30th, 2012. It took me less than two hours to complete, but with new cutscenes, enemies, and gameplay elements, it's much more robust than the earlier downloadable content I've covered. It's a fun, non-canonical "what if?" scenario dealing with Chinese folklore and cinema that's definitely worth seeing.

This DLC provides three new races, a new motorcycle, helmet, and a racing jacket that provides extra protection against gunfire. While the races are fun, they're not worth $3.99. I would wait until this pack is on sale again.

Along with a SWAT outfit, police cruiser and assault rifle, the Police Protection Pack includes a short, repeatable mission where you shoot enemies while leaning out the passenger window of a cop car. It's not worth $2.99, especially if you have the Triad Enforcer Pack which already includes the exact same type of mission.

These videos do not include commentary. This is my playthrough of The SWAT Pack downloadable content for Sleeping Dogs on the PC . I bought the DLC for $0.99 during a 75% off sale that Steam was having. The SWAT Pack gives you a SWAT uniform that lets you withstand twice as much damage along with a SWAT van you use to activate 20 "Cop Jobs". Cop Jobs are short side missions that involve shootou...

This video does not include commentary. This is my playthrough of the Martial Arts Pack downloadable content for Sleeping Dogs on the PC . I bought the DLC for $0.74 during a 75% off sale that Steam was having. The footage was recorded in 1080p at 60 FPS and downscaled to 720p using Open Broadcaster Software . I have the High Resolution Texture Pack installed and am playing on this PC . The Mar...

I originally wrote this post a few months ago and am just now getting around to posting it up. My brother and I got the " Storyteller " trophy in Batman: Arkham City this Labor Day, along with everyone else who got the game before Halloween 2011 and didn't cheat by setting their clocks ahead. Not that I have anything against people who do that (that would be crazy), but it's not something I do....

White Fluffy Kitty So you have a better idea of how much of her is pure fluffiness. Fluffy loves comics.

New Super Mario Bros. U. I beat the whole game with my mom and brother. We collected 490 coins on the credits screen. Runner-up: Lollipop Chainsaw

The Walking Dead Runners-up: The Darkness II Sleeping Dogs Game that may have been on this list had I had time to beat it before 2013: Spec Ops: The Line

The screenshots of Sleeping Dogs and Dear Esther were taken by me during my playthroughs on the PC. Both games are at max settings, though Sleeping Dogs is at Normal AA. Sleeping Dogs Runners-up: Journey Dear Esther

Shuhei Yoshida , President of Worldwide Studios for Sony Computer Entertainment Incorporated and one of my favorite people in the industry, posted on his Twitter yesterday that he got a Wii U . Of course, this confused (and even angered) some of his followers as to why someone who works for Sony (and in such a powerful position) would buy a Nintendo console. Before responding to those people, h...

So me, my brother, and our friend Jarvis were playing Episode 3 of Halo 4 's Spartan Ops mode earlier tonight when we came across these tiny Covenant in Chapter 2: "Galileo". For a second I thought they were just invisible Elites until I saw how close the guns were to the floor. Then I thought they were stuck in the ground. It wasn't until a couple of minutes later that I got a closer look, onl...

This is the list of my top seven Wii games of all time. Why seven? Well, because I only beat seven Wii games. That's not because there weren't plenty more Wii games worth playing, but because of my gaming setup. I use a projector to play the majority of my games, and since it's placed behind me, I'm unable to play motion-controlled games on it. The monitor I use to play mouse & keyboard/motion-...

My brother and I returned to The Art of Video Games exhibit a second time on September 23rd. We shot another video of the guestbook to see what fellow visitors had to say or, in some cases, draw. Here's the first video .

I thought this was kind of funny. I clicked on The Amazing Spider-Man ad that's currently on the Xbox 360 dashboard and was greeted with a small clip of Andrew Garfield, the film's star, promoting the film for Xbox Live . These promotions always seemed like one of the worst parts of an artist's job, be it an actor or musician or something else, where the interviewer wants the interviewee to rec...

This is the last video we shot at the exhibit on September 2nd, 2012. After checking out the guestbook for the second time, I was reminded that I had my 3DS in my pocket the entire time. I soon discovered that several other people had the same idea... Oddly enough, the last time I StreetPass'd was back in December 2011 at the Smithsonian Institution National Museum of Natural History.

On August 8th I made the following tweet: There wasn't any particular reason for me to feel that way; it was just a feeling. Three days later, on the 11th, I was looking up behind-the-scenes videos of The Dark Knight Rises. The first one I came across took place during the football scene as someone in the crowd was filming the explosions set off by Bane . Through that, I found a YouTube channel...

Introduction A Short History of Decay Ducktails & Bobbysox Kilroy Was Here Revolution We're the Millers Yearbook Reflections

I went to The Art of Video Games exhibit at the Smithsonian American Art Museum in Washington, D.C. yesterday with my brother. I'll upload more of the video we took when I get back from the two-week road trip I'm leaving for tomorrow, but I wanted to show off one of my favorite things at the exhibit: the guestbook. This guestbook was laid out for visitors to sign just a few days before on Augus...

In December 2011 my brother and I took a road trip for Christmas. First, we drove from North Carolina to Washington, D.C., then from there to Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, and from there to Kansas to visit our mom. Usually when we take trips I fill up my phone with old Bombcasts , but I've heard most of them at least two or even three times now, so I needed to find something different. I don't list...

With Kitty peeing all over my only real pair of shoes and my nurse clogs I wore as Nurse Joker for Halloween 2008 being a filthy mess (for a different reason), I was out of options for footwear in the first half of 2011. I preordered a pair of Penny Arcade 's new shoes, not realizing the wait for them to be manufactured and shipped out would take so long. They eventually arrived on August 15th....

I went to China Star, a local Chinese restaurant right by the Food Lion, on June 4th to get a bunch of food that would last me throughout the whole day of press conferences. I wanted to cut down the amount of time not at my computer watching streams as much as possible, which meant no unnecessary cooking. I also went to Food Lion while my meal was being made (everything is cooked fresh when you...

I know this is old, but in my defense, I took this picture on December 27th, 2010. My brother and I were with our mom for Christmas, and at some point when we were out I saw this place: Look familiar? GameStop photo by Dwight Burdette

I was going through some old, unorganized pictures on my computer and found these two I took on April 29th, 2011 on our move from Texas to North Carolina. It's graffiti of Master Shake from Aqua Teen Hunger Force :

This is my second animated short using the Source Filmmaker beta. I started it shortly after finishing my tutorial test video on the 7th and got finished with it today. Except for eating and sleeping, all of my time the past three/four days has been spent on this. Originally, the concept for the video was for it to open up with the scout telling the second half of a joke, with all the other cla...

A list of all the videos I've made using Valve's Source Filmmaker. They are listed from newest to oldest. 02. Playing with Fire 01. Source Filmmaker: My Tutorial Test Video

I got accepted into the Source Filmmaker beta on July 5th, and this is the first video I've made using the program - the result of spending hours watching Valve's tutorial videos and working alongside them. This is actually the first video I've ever animated, period. It's fun! Anyway, here are some things I spent time working on that a lot of people won't notice: 0:02 - The bottom half of a bod...

The next arcade on my list of places to see in Akihabara, we inadvertently came across Taito HEY (Hirose Entertainment Yard) about a minute after leaving Club SEGA . HEY occupies floors two through four of the 5-level Hirose Honsya building. Hirose's basement level, like Asobit City and other places in the district, was dedicated to various manga including hentai , lolicon, and dōjinshi (self-p...

SEGA GiGO was a great experience, but I knew the best had yet to come. It didn't take long to see how other arcades in the area compared, as this was the first thing we saw turning the corner out of Akihabara Station on the morning of July 18th, 2010: Similar to GiGO, Club SEGA is a six-level arcade complex with the first floor dedicated to claw games. Passing by some Hatsune Miku gear and Mick...

Up at 4 AM and too excited to sleep, I fiddled around on my brother's laptop and began what would become my early morning ritual of watching weird Japanese television. We decided to make Akihabara the first place we visit, not only because it's the place to go if you're into video games, but also because we needed extra batteries for our video camera and a power strip to charge all of our elect...

Date Initially Beaten: Unknown Platform: Nintendo Entertainment System --- Like Duck Hunt , Mario Bros. is another NES game that I first played in the early '90s in Georgia, USA (it may be the first video game I ever played, period). Whereas I enjoyed playing Duck Hunt, however, I never really cared much for Mario Bros. Increasing a high score has never been much of an incentive for me in video...

Date Initially Beaten: Unknown Platform: Nintendo Entertainment System --- A light-gun shooter released for the NES in October 1985 (or April 1984 if you lived in Japan), Duck Hunt came out about three years before I was born. One of my earliest memories as a human being is of playing this game - it might even be the first video game I ever played, actually - which means we would have had it in...

I figured now would be a good time to post my "Heroes of the Internet" trading card since I changed my username (and since Whiskey Media no longer exists). When a Whiskey Media user completed a specific task (I don't think it's been officially revealed), these cards were emailed to them by Dave Snider . Each card is unique to the user it was sent to and feature pictures Dave took around the off...

List of Episodes Welcome to the first entry of Japan Uncut ! This series is a supplement to Japan: The Series . Videos with the "Japan Uncut" label are videos that were either too long or too shaky to include in the main series. This post will contain major spoilers for Mass Effect 3 . Not everything included here will deal with Mass Effect 3's ending or can be accurately called a "meme". Regardless of your thoughts on the situation, please refrain from discussing the ending, and instead let's enjoy the hilarity that has come out of all this. " video, I preferred the belief that Marauder Shields was actually an ally trying to protect you from seeing Mass Effect 3's horrible ending. I made the video early this morning and posted it up on YouTube.

List of Episodes Japan Uncut is a supplemental side-series to Japan: The Series . These mostly unedited videos are either too long or too shaky to include in the numbered episodes and will be released in between them. I'm currently working on Episode 02: Electric Town which is far more difficult to edit than Arrival was. There's so much I want to show, and putting it all together is harder than...

Today was the official launch day of the PlayStation Vita in the United States, and mine arrived earlier today from Amazon. I just got all the trophies in Welcome Park and now want to show off the wallpapers I'm using. All of these were obtained from either freevitathemes.com or from the Vita wallpaper thread on NeoGAF . They are displayed in the order that they're seen on the system. All scree...

Hideo Kojima posted this on his Twitter account earlier this morning. It's a replica of the jacket Ryan Gosling wore in Drive . Hideo says Drive is one of the top three movies he's seen this year, along with War Horse and The Hunter . I think he pulls it off!

Making Japan: Arrival was a lot of fun. It being the first video I've ever truly edited - meaning I'm excluding the two very, very minor things I've edited in the past using Windows Movie Maker - meant that I had to get a program capable of doing what I wanted to do and learn how to use it on my own. After browsing reviews, I settled on CyberLink PowerDirector 9. I went to The Pirate Bay and to...

The first Game Giveaway was hosted on January 16th, 2011, in the Off-Topic forum. On July 1st, almost six months later, I wrote an in-depth blog post about the origin of the contest and provided some stats. I said pretty much everything I wanted to say back then, so this post will be far shorter. First, let's start with the old stats that I wrote at the beginning of the aforementioned post: 28...

I was going through old files on my computer and came across some pictures I had taken when I reached a certain number of Gamerscore . This first one was taken when I reached 20,000 Gamerscore on December 21st, 2008. I had played various Xbox Live Arcade titles in an attempt to get the number just right - I was REALLY in to Left 4 Dead. 783 days (or 2 years, 1 month, and 22 days) later on Febru...

Last month, on our way to visit our mom in Kansas for Christmas, my brother and I spent a few days visiting Washington, D.C.; Philadelphia, and Gettysburg. Having not had a StreetPass encounter since the ones with the Whiskey Media staff in June of 2011 , I was eager for more. Luckily for me, at least three other people had the same idea on December 17th at the Smithsonian Institution National...

You have until January 22nd. You'll see coupo...

I hadn't slept much. The little time I had left that wasn't used preparing for the trip was spent preparing for our return. The few things I kept, such as my game consoles and computer, were strewn about the bedroom floor; the rest of my stuff was on its way to a storage facility in Oklahoma. See, we were to be moved out of our house in Texas and on the road to Fort Sill the day we got back to...

List of Episodes On July 15th, 2010, my brother and I took a two-week trip to Tokyo, Japan. It was a place I had been wanting to go to since I was in elementary school, and I planned on filming the trip so I could make a series of videos afterward. We purchased a Canon VIXIA HG20 shortly before leaving, giving me just enough time to learn how to use it. It was then that I learned my computer wa...

I'm so lazy that I photoshopped the dust out of this picture instead of just cleaning my desk. Controlling an in-game character using the motions of your body has been a concept I've been interested in for a long time, well before anyone even knew what a "Revolution" was. Rumors of a motion-controlled device by Microsoft had been in circulation for a little while, and the Kinect , known then as...

"Sup." There's something special about getting a game on launch day and playing through it with a bunch of affable strangers, all of who are trying to figure things out. It's not a situation I find myself in often, usually being "late to the party" and all, but it's always fun. Take Left 4 Dead 2 , for example. Unlike the first game, I wasn't able to play with any of my friends, so the only way...

I decided to do something special for Christmas 2009 and bought both sets of Valve 's Left 4 Dead Holiday Cards. After filling them out for family and friends, I still had a bunch left over (there were a lot of cards), so I started filling out cards for things that don't fall under "family and friends", like Giant Bomb and Valve. Yes, I sent a Left 4 Dead themed Christmas card to Valve. This on...

I haven't had a lot of luck with StreetPass encounters . Shortly after the aforementioned post, I met two other Miis in the form of Gamessa and Clif, making for a total of three people I've come across since the launch of the 3DS in March. As an owner and active user of the Kinect , I was excited when Microsoft announced and released Kinect Fun Labs during their E3 2011 press conference yesterday. It was May of 2010, and I was riding around with my mom and brother in South Carolina. I can't remember why, but I started thinking about fake products from movies that were turned into real things. I got into a discussion about Tropic Thunder with my brother, and decided to see if Booty Sweat, the energy drink promoted by Alpa Chino in the movie, was a real thing. I went to Amazon on my phone...

EVA "It's only when I'm on the bike that I'm free to be the real me. I only get off my bike when I fall in love or fall dead ..." EVA was born under my brother's car. He went outside one day to discover our local cat, "Kitty", underneath his car with a fresh litter of kittens. I woke up to the sounds of mewing, only to discover a cardboard box full of adorable kitties in our laundry room. In an...

Nozomi "Sup." Found under a tree in 2006, Nozomi was lucky my mom was out at Milford Lake, Kansas that day. The storm had stopped, and Nozomi had taken cover. A tiny, awkward kitten whose fur made it look as if it had been struck by lightning, he was obviously in need of assistance. My mom fed him the last bite of chicken sandwich she had, which he gobbled up quickly. He started purring, and sh...

Seriously. This is what we are getting for only $65 a night (I am surprised at how much smaller it looks in these pictures compared to real life.): Edit: Forgot to mention that the cabinets are stocked with dishes (along with pots and pans for cooking) and the fridge has drinks at no extra charge! Tell me about your best/worst hotel experiences!

I have a Notepad document which contains a list of posts to eventually write; "Pets Named After Game Characters" is one of them. I know I'm not the only one out there who has named a pet after a video game character, either. So, what made me decide to write about this topic today? Well, it's because of a little guinea pig that showed up at my front door a few days ago, but we'll get to him in P...

Back from first trip to Akihabara. Got camera batteries and power strip so we can charge our stuff. Gonna be staying at the hotel for a few hours to get everything organized and such. Quick Notes: Akihabara is better than I ever expected (I had high expectations) The batteries I had so much trouble trying to get in America were in abundance at the very first store we went in outside of Akihabar...

Date Initially Beaten: Unknown Platform: Nintendo Entertainment System Additional Notes: I also beat the NES version of this game on co-op with my brother. Originally an arcade game developed and published by Sega in 1987, an NES version of the game was published by Tengen in 1989. Alien Syndrome was a two-player game in which you took control of either Ricky or Mary as they attempted to rescue...

Note: NOT my memory cards. My friend's after her sister "borrowed" them. Plus, my keyboard isn't that disgusting. *This post was originally written here on January 6th, 2010.* If there was a fire, I would do whatever was necessary to save the following: People Pets and Hard Drives. To someone who plays games, no item is more important than their save device. Disc gets broken? No big deal. Get a...

The difficulty in obtaining the above image is testament to how large of a problem this really is. *This post was originally written here on January 5th, 2010.* Left 4 Dead is one of the greatest zombie games ever made. This isn't due to the awesome and addictive cooperative gameplay, but due to DEAD ZOMBIE BUTT. No Mercy - Chapter 4 is the best level out of the whole game for this simple reaso...

Note: NOT my collection. *This post was originally written here on January 4th, 2010.* Playing games since the age of four (or maybe earlier, who knows?!), a 21 year old is likely to have beaten a lot of games. Going through the entire Giant Bomb database , I made a list titled "Games I've Beaten", which consists of exactly what you would think. After finishing, I was surprised by my results. T...

*This post was originally written here on January 3rd, 2010.* I love it! There is nothing more satisfying for myself than sneaking up on an enemy player, taking them out, and escaping to safety without alerting anyone else. It's even better when I successfully take out the person who comes looking for them. This is why Splinter Cell: Pandora Tomorrow is one of the best multiplayer experiences I...

Me being a Level 40 Badass *This post was originally written here on January 2nd, 2010. * This can apply to a variety of games, but I am speaking mainly about World of Warcraft as it is the only MMORPG I ever got into. A discussion I have had on multiple occasions with my friend Jeremiah, I have always been perplexed by his desire to constantly create new characters in World of Warcraft. I unde...
