My Secutor asks: Where's the love?

Gladius still is a tug of war with me.  Some of the matches I only find are hopeless by actually going into them and realizing the guys are too tough, but others have been evenly matched battles that actually had me on the edge of my seat, making damned sure I hit the swing meter button at the right time to ensure I didn't lose.  In one very close battle with a squad of amazons I was within one hit of losing, which was just great.  Stuff like that helps me forget those exploits I mentioned earlier, I just hope I don't run into any more.

The secutor continues to be my favorite class, and my dude even made a comment to the head of the school after a tournament.  Nice little touches like that make the game really feel like they put a lot into it.  For all the bashing people give Lucasarts (I'm not familiar with their stuff now, but they were bashed even when they were putting out one innovative game after another) I think they were one of the stand-out companies for a very long time.  I knew if I picked up one of their games that I was going to get something interesting, or possibly even a classic.

Gladius has some problems, but I love it too much to kick to the curb.
